Hector's still holding the money at 1:55 while no one in their right mind turns on the N2O in the midst of a race, much less refuse to purge the lines, using a Fox body is legit to the times. I had my license when the GT40 head and intake package hit the streets. it was like 1955 when Chevy offered the PowerPack option at the dealership--no more need to build your hot rod at home, you could put it on the payment plan. Berlin Turnpike was full of them Friday and Saturday nights in summer and the radio stations were just beginning to offer packaged radio shows rather than local DJ's, like "King Flour concert hour" and "Jukebox Saturday Night" and other syndicated shows. Still got my 1986 GT Mustang though...wasn't going to let that slip away from me like time :)

In the 1980's, there were only two good cruise nights i knew of in the state--Sycamore Diner in Bethel and A&W in Brooklyn at the other end of the state. and then there was Berlin Turnpike, our version of Detroit's 8 mile. One drive in theatre, one stainless steel diner, only Don's Speed Shop, but a lot of stoplights for "testing". now there's at least 2 cruise nights every night of the summer, and one sunday when I was young I checked out 5 car shows (small states have an advantage).
