I'm surprised how many people misunderstood the line (or seemed to) "is there anything so undoing as a daughter?" Silco is literally saying, right there, that his love for Jinx is more important to him than his life-long dream of having his nation of Zaun. More importantly, he is saying it where he believes no one can hear him... so he's not trying to manipulate anyone with his remarks.

The unanimous "How dare you make me feel sad for Silco!" just feeds my soul as a writer.

I am literally sobbing right now. This is hands down the best Arcane edit I've ever seen. I think watching this actually had more of a visceral reaction to actually watching episode 9 for the first time. As a LoL player, I knew Caitlyn was a character But when jinx came out with the platter, I questioned if Caitlyn had enough plot armour

The cupcake scene made me almost shit myself. Now seeing everyone do the same? Once again, almost shat myself. But now I’m also laughing my ass off.

This is one of the few shows I have FULL confidence in calling a masterpiece, cause it DESERVES it. If Arcane doesn't win at least ONE Emmy, than media awards really are a joke. Edit: Alright, Emmies. You deserve respect. For now.

For some odd reason it's comforting to see people react the same way you did when you saw these scenes. Not sure why that is.

It really says a lot with how they make you think Caitlyn might have been killed by Jinx. Cait is a major character from the game and clearly has a character arc that she hasn't finished yet so should have major plot armor. Despite that the writing was so good that for minute they make you think she might be dead. Being able to pull that off is a top tier example of why this show is so good. Also answer the question, yes Jinx you are that crazy.

I can’t take credit for this saying.. But someone said.. Powders last act was to kill Silco.. And her first act as jinx was to avenge him. BRILLIANT.

An observation I made: Jinx's missile hits right as the Council has agreed to grant the Undercity their independence. She jinxes their freedom. As she does everything. Poetic.

I thought it was kinda sad when right after Jinx killed Silco everyone was like "she chose her sister" only for them to all realize killing Silco cemented her into Jinx. She loved Silco as a father and for his last words to be reassurance to her that he wasn't mad at her and that he loved her more than Zaun and that she, the broken, chaotic, semi psychotic person she was, was perfect to him. In that moment the last ember of Powder died and Jinx decided to burn the world for her grief and for Silco's cause.

"In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good" This line alone speaks volumes.

I love the looks of admiration from these reactors throughout this finale. They really understood, like all of us, how beautiful of a story this was and understood the weight of all these characters and their personalities, suffering, and the choices they had to make. I'm a screenwriter, and this single season of Arcane has taught me more about good storytelling, writing, characterization, and pacing than literally anything else I've ever watched. This is hands down the most masterfully crafted season of television I have ever seen, and even if season 2 isn't as good (though I doubt that), at least we got this.

Something that kind of goes overlooked in this amazing episode - after Vi's fight with Saveka @19:47, she drops to her knees and let's out this primal scream, almost identical to the one she released when Vander died. It's not played up much, but Saveka was her idol, literally everything she wanted to grow up and be when she was a child - the relentless freedom fighter who refused to show weakness. When Saveka 'rebelled' against Vander's leadership was the same time Vi started questioning him on his bravery and dedication ("When did you get so comfortable living in someone's shadow?"). Vi didn't just meet her hero, she was basically forced to beat her to death. This is so significant for her character on so many levels. In their own way, Vi and Silco's journey was similar, both finally learning that Vander was right all along. This show is unreal.

I still can't move on from Arcane, then I found this video and start sobbing again. I literally can't find another series with the same feeling or same level as Arcane, watching your amazing edit make me more realize how good arcane is.

It's the "WTF IS GOING ON ?? IT'S TOO INTENSE !!" for me 😂

"we'll show them. we will show them all." is the full circle of powder finally becoming jinx. she didnt choose vi. she realized that vi can't accept her for who she became. vi doesn't understand or even know her anymore. vi kept saying mylo and everyone elses names which only made her worse in that moment. meanwhile silco is just so desperate to shut vi up. because of all people, he knows and understand jinx's trauma. jinx talk about it to no one else but silco. silco knows that vi needs to shut up because she is making jinx more confused. he is so desperate hence the gun. throughout the series, jinx always treats unfamiliar sound as a threat to her and always just points her gun to the source of the sound on instinct. so when she heard silco with the gun, she acted on instinct. not out of choosing vi. in silco's dying breath he told jinx that she is perfect. this is what made up jinx's mind to accept herself as jinx. vi doesn't want to be with who she is now. vi only wants to be with the old her (cant blame vi on this) and forcing her to be powder again and remember everything which only hurt and tortured her. meanwhile silco is just so accepting for who she is even to his dying breath and the fact that she shot him. realising this, jinx finally told vi, "i thought that maybe you could love me like you used to. even though im DIFFERENT. but you changed too." the realization that vi will not be able to love her because she is different now is abandonment the second time around. and this time she killed an important person to her again. and finally turning her back on vi and shooting the council while hearing silco say "we will show them all" with those same teary, broken, raged eyes like her young self that night when he adopted her is the full circle.

When Arcane was first announced, I generally thought that the major thing people will like about it is the amazing animation style but the story will be 'meh' yet the huge league lore fans, like me, would enjoy it. So when it was not only f*cking amazing from both an animation and storytelling standpoint, I was beyond happy. Especially when I see people who probably never even played the MOBA or anything relating to League fall in love with the characters. So after that big finale and knowing that I would probably have to wait for 2023 at the soonest for S2, seeing those people who don't know anything about the characters yet watching them react and even get psyched and freaked out because they don't know anything about the game has been a joy. So thanks for doing this series and I hope to see you do Arcane season 2.

Funny, cause Jinx actually isn't the one doing something poorly timed this time, the Council is. Peace should have happened years ago, not until it was at their door steps.

I think its very telling just how good this show was with Powder's inevitable fall to Jinx. Despite a lot of the people reacting, trying to suggest that Powder can still come back from what was happening to her as thats what they want. Every one of them genuinely beleived that there was a possibility that she had cut Caitlyns head off and put it under the silver platter. That despite everyone wanting it to be otherwise, they fully believed she was capable and willing to do something that horrifying. It just one little thing on top of everything that really lets you get sucked into how Vi feels and how soul crushing it is for her and for the audience to have to accept that Powder is gone. The playful little sister truly has changed.

I know its League base story but wtf. The voice actor, the storyline, and just the dialogue of this show is just 1000000. Its so good and the artstyle too AND the MUSIC Like this show is beyond my imagination

I never liked Silco for what he has done to others, but to Jinx he was a father. He loved her and tolerated her so when I saw that scene of him saying 'I never would've given you to them. Not to anyone' before dying touches my heart. Although not alot would like it but in this series Silco is my favourite.

Sad part is most of them didn't noticed the sweet touch that Jinx had for Silco. Fishbones was made for him, she made it look like one of his favorite things. Also gave in detail the scars, and eye exactly like him too. Like wow, that made me tear up even more after his goodbye to his daughter. Probably one of the reasons why she's shedding a tear and hearing those words he told her that night when they first met.

The symbolism in this episode was on fire, the tea party was her practically laying out her mental state for Vi and Silco to see and the chairs represent her two lives. She is torn between the two because Vi wants Powder and Silco wants Jinx, she loves them both and they both love her. Vi and Silco are basically the devil and angel on her shoulder. It was insane just how much symbolism lies in this scene, and for the most part its all direct. Poor Jinx/Powder though man 😭

LOL the fact that some of them were like "Yayy she chose Vi :D" when Jinx shot Silco.... only for that and his dying words to drive her permanently into accepting herself as Jinx, giving up on Vi and turning her back on her sister forever.

Silco's character development and change from Ep1 to Ep 9 was one of the best pieces of writing for a villain character development i have ever witnesses. To think they went this in depth for a character that died is insane.

When people talk about her choosing the Jinx chair it's the same misunderstanding that Vi has which is why it's tragic. There is no choice here, Jinx is WHO SHE IS and who she has ALWAYS BEEN. Vi doesn't really see her sister, she sees and loves the idealized version of her sister and wants that back. Jinx has simply grown up and become more confident in herself but if you re-watch the series the signs of who she would become were there even when she was running around as "Powder". Jinx has had a lot of trauma in her life with a lot of loss, and people not seeing the real her and belittling her only compounds on her issues of trust and feelings of isolation. It's like she says to Vi that she had hoped Vi could love her even though she had changed but it was obvious she couldn't. Vi wanted her helpless little sister back that needed saving all the time as that is who she loved rather than seeing Jinx had grown up and no longer needed anyone's protection but instead just needed a friend and sister to be there and support her. Instead Vi wanted to swoop in as the Hero and kept treating Jinx as a helpless little girl in need of saving. Meanwhile Jinx sees Vi having a relationship of equals with Caitlyn and is jealous because that's what she wants with her sister but her sister refuses to acknowledge her as an equal. This refusal to acknowledge who someone truly is, is what makes it so tragic as even many of the viewers see Jinx the same way as Vi. They want to see Vi "save" her sister, but there is no going back to the quite helpless days of powder. The only saving for Jinx is through care and acceptance so she can move past her trauma. Vi is basically out on parol and Jinx has been living the criminal life, even as kids they got up to some illegal activities that's how the whole thing got started. They aren't gonna settle down in some remote country house and live a happy peaceful life. They are both criminals with practical no money to their name and if Vi flees she's basically an escaped prisoner so odds of them getting honest work is slim, heck it's hard enough getting honest work if they stay as just look at all the poor people in the city. When it comes down to it though the most important question of all is never ask by Vi, "What do you want Jinx/Powder?"

there was so much to unbox just from the dinner scene. Jinx bringing a cupcake instead of Caitlyn's head(Vi's nickname for her), the raven feathers around the jinx chair, the lyrics at the end of the song "what could have been" just before Jinx "Jinxed" it again as her rocket hits the glass. the art work for the smiling face as the rocket cracks the glass. This series was epic and i have hated waiting so long for season 2 and still no word or teasers for the 2nd season its just arghhhh

I actually didn't think of that finale as much as a cliffhanger, it felt perfect for me.. But thankfully they confirmed there gonna be later seasons and the second season gonna wrap up the piltover/zaun or vi/jinx story and they will moves on with other places and characters to explore. And i think it definitely the right decision. This story is a goddamn perfect beautiful masterpiece and sometimes things better to left when it's in its great shape.. I mean look at Jurassic park or transformers or even pirates of caribbean, they are a mess now when their first couple movies or full trilogy was great. I mean i would still watch vi and jinx for straight 12 seasons but like i said. So yeah, i'm fuckin excited they will give the proper ending for the story where also not being too long or too short. Just about the perfect amount

also like how the shows brings people greed up, like they wanted powder since they liked her, like refused jinx so they could have their happy powder character back, really love how Silco is the one to make all understand Jinx was perfect for who she was and accepted her for who she was, not wanting her to be someone she wasn't.

I am blatantly and unapologetically obsessed with this fucking show. I have no idea how many dozens of times I have watched it. I have also watched almost every decent reaction channel. I have watched it with TBSkyen's commentary at least three times.........I don't even know how many times I have watched this particular playlist. I am 44 years old, never in my life have I even imagined a show that would capture me even close to this level. Great edit skills btw. Waiting for season 2 is absolute hell. Arcane is an absolute fucking MASTERPIECE!!

Silco... man, he was a VERY bad person, but he cared. He cared a LOT. Too much even. His care is what killed him, but it's also what left his legacy. He was a man who would daughter any number of people and peons, for what he though his precious few deserved.
