Sorry to disappoint you but a sneak preview from some movie journalists last year said it isn't any good and Damien isn't even born from a jackal which goes against the established continuity. I'm a huge fan of the original aswell and sure hope this lives up to expectations but after what I've said about the non-jackal birth be prepared for the worst.

It won’t be any good it will be the exact opposite just like Exorcist:Believer. Lower your expectations or be disappointed.
