@@nschubach It's not quite the same. Humans land all over the alignment chart and come from all sorts of backgrounds. The vast majority of goblins will have the same alignment and general backgrounds. Not to mention in world most of the nein probably aren't familiar with goblins or how they generally feel about things. Sure humans can generally justify killing other humans, but for all they know killing another goblin could be devastating.

By the standard of the majority of Role Players out there, Ashley remains a brilliantly talented actress (see Last of Us), and when she is capable of giving an amazing and emotional performance. She is just very slowly developing a character. She even has started speaking with an accent specificially for her character, which is a big step for an actress who usually uses her own voice when performing.

Technically Tiefling is Outworlder+Human/Inworlder's offspring, most of the time it's demon blood/devils blood, but a Rakshasa+Human does means it's a Tiefling as well. -MrRhexx (sorta like that).

Technically it's pretty much up to your campaign world. I've seen a few different interpretations.

(Molly screaming about being forcibly conscripted to the front lines, all last episode, with no basis for him to have that knowledge, he's a Tiefling carnival card shark and has bren for the 2 years of memory he has, not only is he an outcast by being a circus act, he's a Tiefling in an empire comprised of mostly human and human-like races i.e. dwarf, elf, gnome, halfling. Also, I didn't like how Taliesin basically forced the group into feeling scared of being pulled into the army.)

Having travelled all around with the circus would have given Molly a pretty decent understanding of how the empire works. Dudes a dick and despite acting like a good guy has no morale high ground to stand on.

Well Vox Machina had 4 people come from "high society" (Percy, Keyleth, and sort of Vex & Vax) so traditional lawful makes sense. Where as Mighty Nein... well... a Trickster Cleric, a Warlock, a Bloodhunter, and a Goblin... even without the 'edgy' backstories they were never gonna be as lawful as Vox Machina lmao

I dunno, VM were considered pretty chaotic, but this group has marched clear off the right side of the alignment chart.

Ashleys backstory is a pretty complex story about love and loss and lonelyness Whereas travis' story was basically i was on a ship with 2 dudes and one of them ran off and the other one tried to kill me And then he let matt do the rest of the work. Mollys backstory is basically "i woke up with amnesia..." and then he let matt do all the work. Beau nott jester yasha and caleb are really the ones with well thought out backstories and molly cad and fjords backstories are basically some stuff happened mattmercer pls help

@@karararttrararak5682 If you watched any of Talks then you would know that she in fact does know her characters backstory. It is ready. She just hasn't been able to settle in cause at the time Blindspot was still a thing.

Yes, very much so, but Liam is also a great actor, I fucking love Caleb's backstory and his vulnerability

I think it's kind mean to reduce Sam to a "cheap" comedian. Throughout this and the other campaign, Sam has consistently been a comedic genius. He isn't just a guy making funny jokes, being a comedian is part of his repertoire

@@joebbytakinover157 not to mention liam acts out movements even when he isnt talking. My personal favorite is when caleb kinda just there, not really interacting in the party, so liam picks up the PHB and reads it as if caleb is reading one

@@uli11 it's only 1/2 damage for piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage (basically all physical weapon damage), and I'm pretty sure Matt is good about halving damage when needed before giving it to the players.

I dont have any concrete examples but I feel like prior to this episode she took some big hits while raging that i feel might not have been halved- though maybe im dumb and wrong. And wait- didnt grogg take 1/2 damage from shit like dragons breath and fireballs and shit?

@uli11 maybe at later levels? I'm more familiar with lower levels, which Yasha is at, and there aren't any greater damage reduction in 5e that I'm aware of. I also don't doubt that Ashley would have spaced the damage-halving effects of rage as she was very busy at the start of the campaign.

I mean... this exact sort of thing is exactly why I rely on the dicebot on D&D Beyond instead of rolling physical dice even though our DM trusts us to be honest and allows it. I'm gonna math something wrong and/or forget to add a bonus I should have 😅
