@@rachelthorn9915 It goes further: They are at the T-Time on friday night, dip at Seacaster Mansion over the Saturday, get a ride home and "on the next day" they are back in school, which by that continuity would be Sunday, and when they talk to the undertaker he says "It's Friday today" so either Brennan is throwing the continuity for a complete loop (in order for everyone to lose track of it again) or he made a genuine error

Something about finding out that Zane was in the foster system, treated so poorly that he fought to be emancipated and decided to live on his own, had this little rat that he took care of, and died all in the same few minutes or so hurts. It seemed like he just got involved in whatever this was for safety or companionship and as someone who has had people close to me who were treated poorly by similar systems, it was like a punch to the gut.

As someone who played D&D for years, I dearly loved how Brennan/Seacaster kidnapped them for the day to catch them up on the basics. The raised eyebrow when they told him that their healer keeps dying was choice. Since none of the players had done this before (I think) there was no one to tell them don't split the party, marching order, etc. It was a really nice in-story way to do it without pushing too hard. Well done.

I'm gonna be honest, I love Kristen's quest to truly find the way of her god, rather than what people think the way is. Most sun gods are neutral good, yet their followers act as if their God is lawful good, absolutist and zealous hunters of anything different from their word. Most sun gods in D&D pantheons are simply good and trust their followers to enact good into others.
