Start simple just to get going. Build a base to store things even if you don't plan on staying in that area.

This base helped me alot as a solo, the base is pretty solid and it protected me every solo wipe. Of course it helps if you fill it with rugs and bear rugs. It gives me cozy vibes and it encourages me to play more. Thanks Willjum!

I'm quite new to the game, other than watching lots of Rust on YT over the past couple years, and the early stages of this base have been a great tutorial on some things like half-wall shelves, bunker, jump-umps, etc without getting too complicated. Also, no one raids me because everyone else around me is clearly an easier target. Thanks so much, Willjum.

I came back to rust after years and years and I chose this base design on youtube. It is pretty good the storage in the main 3 triangle core is more than I need and expandable bases just feel amazing to live in.

Testing this build out on a build server. Was able to place the roof for the bunker when you first showed how to before going on further with the build but for some reason after finishing the mid build, I was unable to place the roof for the bunker. And I couldn't place any garage doors in the tc room, so I just seal off the tc corner with an armored window. But I think this will be my new go to for my solo experience. I don't think I need to go further then the mid build. Thanks for putting in the time and effort.

This is one of the most efficient flow builds I've seen. His conservative play style meshes well with his build technique; it's hard to argue how he routinely builds on success.

I love how you didn’t switch too much up from your first base build, but made the TC bunker more efficient. I’m trying this out next wipe! On console by the way so the bunker isn’t available. :(

You can just do 5:23 with a normal square foundation and use a square floor frame with a normal roof

Building this in my current wipe as of about 9 hrs ago... Got 1st and 2nd stages built so far, but OMG I keep failing hardcore trying to get into my new second story double door, lol. Takes me like 10x to get up and through. Keep getting caught on the lip somehow... In your vids you glide through everything so effortlessly, but it apparently takes some learning... Keep the base builds coming man. Still feel your builds are the best ones around for Solo Players... Keep em coming. Have a good one!

Used this base and loved it. Gonna try a version with a different style roof to protect a minicopter. I've seen Willjum add external TCs and compound. My first attempt at this was a fail (walls didn't connect well).

You have helped me so much through this struggle of a game lmao. Finally got some gun blue prints and not everything is so stressful. Not nearly as worried about losing the stuff I have as I was. The games becoming enjoyable. Haven't done any raids yet but soon!

I built this last wipe and I absolutely love it but it was a little hard to keep up with the upkeep. Also kinda wonky to finish the honeycomb without noclip lol. Just a tad too large for me although again, I love love love the design. It's probably my favorite so far But from now on I'm going small bases ftw.

Well an improvement that i suggest you make (either whoever is reading this or willjum) is that you place a couple more double door wall frames and expand the shooting floor all the way around the chute

I'm really liking this base design! I have my own base design per se. Got the core perfected and all. Just gotta add shooting floors and peeks. Plus wide gaps with external TCS. It's coming together though. Got the furnace base perfected. The use of space is there and I could even add it to my main base design. Have it attached or make it a external. My main base has 3 bunkers! And I'm working on and thinking about how to implement a 4th triangle bunker. I'm guessing it'll come in handy soon. Very good base design for a vanilla server. It'll take 30 plus to get the core with basic honeycomb. With turrets, shotgun traps, and just the overall maze it'll be like 50+ not including HV rockets. . . And on the bright side they won't get a reward besides upkeep. All loot should be hidden after you got your main base dow n. . . If you guys want my base design get give a like and comment and I'll keep you posted.

I built Wiljums other base for my wipe I can’t lie it’s good I was able to defend my base from a raid my only problem was I ran out of storage quickly I found myself constantly having to de spawn items to make more room other than that it’s good

either you are too good, the server is modded or you're a bloody hoarder who cant throw away bandannas and bone arrows...I cant say which but the first one is the only one that should be complaining. :)

@@Claythargic nope I play rust console and nah lol I have 0 bows and all my clothing is together in gear sets in lockers I just farm a lot which means a lot of raids so I get a bunch of loot from those and since it’s console defending the base isn’t as easy as on pc so it’s mostly successful

the bunker doesnt work anymore made the build exactly as video and yes i put the triangle in the honeycomb, but i believe this type of bunker was patched out hmu if wrong but not working for me

Awesome basebuild! My first thought is "usable honeycomb" put batteries, lockers and stuff in the first layer of honeycomb with reinforced window. I will try that and let you know how it goes

hold Left trigger with a blue building plan out and while holding left trigger use the right stick to navigate the building menu or your building piece, also if i remember correctly the floor triangle should be top left or top right of the wheel

please don't use flying when building, it makes it much more difficult for us to copy the build, especially if things like which side something is touching matters.

I made the heli floor go all the way around the top for better raid defense, I also added a roofcamping layer above to store my mini. it was a little tricky to workout the stability part. but I got it down. 10/10 base.

Great Base! It looks so easy how he build it - and very impressive in its form - but me out there first day of the wipe with the building plan and the building video on the Laptop next to me getting crazy "what side? where? how? damn, another visitor disturb my slow try to build" - I finally reached the first stage but upgradet the entrance roof with the fundation to stone :( will be my first target to destroy for further building. - I recommend to try it first on a built server. - Great video annyway !

An i forgot to mention just using ur build as a new player really helped, i got some really good ideas n it taught me alot of tricks for bases building i didnt know, so for noobs, try it out u will learn alot!

I've been using the same style of bunker in a few wipes now, and use a triangular ladder hatch to add security above the drop down chute.

I will say I've lasted an entire wipe with this base. The funny thing was I stopped using it and built a small base next to the camp for scrap farming and even checked on the last day of wipe and it still stood untouched. All depends on location as well, I build in the snow always to keep grubs away because I hate always repairing failed raid attempts. But besides that, this is my favorite build so far.

Willjum, those 2 pointies in the back I wall frame them all the way up to get a surround top top floor instead of a 4 triangles. Also modded the first shooting floor with some half some low as the terrain dictates. This is my first base that isn't a box. Thanks :D

Hey Willjum, love your content! You inspired me to start playing again after binging a lot of your vids... I tried this bunker today, I don't know if I placed the triangle wrong, but it seems this bunker does not work anymore. I'll check it out again on a build server but for now the core design is actually great even without the bunker. I hope I survive the night :3
