I always try to be extremely cautious when it comes to drawing conclusions about who the antichrist is. I am a pretibulation believer who has adopted the mindset that I am looking for Jesus Christ, not the Antichrist. However, I came across a very intriguing interview featuring Tim Cohen, who claims that King Charles is the Antichrist. His research is so well done that it is hard to dismiss his assertions. The evidence is overwhelming and definitely causes me to consider that possibility. Have you read any of his works or seen any of his videos? I can't seem to find anything about core beliefs.

"Caesar Nero" has ten letters. The Greek alphabet has only 24 letters. So a 10 letter name has a maximum number of 240. Thus the name Nero could not add up to 666. And the Roman Empire is dead and gone. And, BTW, both Jesus and Paul said Christ would return AFTER the tribulation. (Matt 24, 1 Thess 5, 2 Thess 2, etc)

R C Sproule was talking on UKposts about the Abomination that causes desolation. He reckons, and I agree (at least until convinced otherwise), it was Nero. The reason is that Nero put his standard in the Hebrew temple. That is, he placed his coat of alms or his flag etc in the temple and forced everyone to bow down to it. The Jews didn’t of course, and refused to enter in to it as it was unclean. Thus, the sacrifices ceased, as the Bible says. The only alternative is that a future temple will be built, and I don’t see the Jews doing that, but maybe they will, and I certainly don’t see modern Israel resuming sacrifices, so that they can caused to cease again.

Lets not forget the eastern leg of the Roman empire lasted another 1000 years longer the the west. And a lot of the countries that were a part of the eastern leg are now Islamic countries. I hope you realize Rome had two sides: Eastern Roman Empire and the Western Roman Empire. The Eastern Roman Empire ended in 1453 and the owned Palestine for centuries. Fallacy to say the AC comes from Western Europe.

The Dragon, The First Beast (Antichrist) and Second Beast (False Prophet) are a succession of empires, nations and kingdoms. If we can identify the kingdoms then the Antichrist is the King of that First Beast. Rome was identified as the root of the Antichrist, and also called Babylon by Peter. So the Dragon is also the root of the Second Beast (False Prophet) kingdom. The number of the Beast is 616 and 666 and correct calculation will reveal the identity of the kingdoms and hence the identity of the leaders of the kingdoms. 666 is the major calculation but 616 which is 50 less than 666 is also a significant identifying calculation. A horn represents a king; and a head represents a system of government. The Antichrist is also the 'Little horn' that arises from the midst of the 10 horns. Physical existence is separable from time; time being the unification of laws that governs the interaction of physical matter and energy. In order to calculate the identify of the Antichrist's kingdom we must treat the numbers 616 and 666 as time intervals or as years. To this day, the question any authority will ask is where and when were you born and where do you live now? To identify any man we need the place and time of birth. And to identify any kingdom we need to know the places and time when peoples became that kingdom. The Dragon is the body of Satan, this was Ancient Rome. Ancient Rome murdered many early Christians especially in the 100s AD and 200s AD. At this time ten major nations were the core of Europe, the reborn Roman Empire. The ten kingdoms continues with the same names even today: England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. These nations were literally labeled as kingdoms in a map made in 1190 AD. All these nations are from the same Germanic tribes, thus the body of the Antichrist is described as the leopard. The Antichrist Kingdom is the United Kingdom or British Empire, which was officially born on 1st January 1801. The UK absorbed the history and identity of the three nations: England, Scotland and Ireland. The three former kingdoms are no longer nations but part of the territories of the British Empire which is ruled by a parliament. The Antichrist will become king and ruler of the British Empire, above the parliament of the United Kingdom. The Buffalo is the Second Beast or False Prophet with Two Horns, the Two Horns representing the leaders of the Democrats and the Republicans. The president of the United States is the leader and representative of a party in a two-party government system. Grover Cleveland was the first Democrat elected as president after the American Civil war as during the civil war and shortly after, Republicans were in control of the US. Why are the numbers 616 and 666 exact in calculating the Antichrist Kingdom? First in 215 AD Caracalla was the infamous emperor who massacred many citizens especially Christians in Alexandria. Christians had migrated further south to Egypt which was a province of the Roman Empire. Like the Infant Jesus, God sent Christians to Egypt but the Dragon chased the Child. The meaning of the name of Caracalla, is 'a kind of cloak'; that is, he is a thief and a murderer that operates while disguised or obscured. Caracalla's name at birth was Lucius Septimus Bassanus. Lucius means light and synonymous with the name Lucifer, Septimus means Seven or of the Seven and Bassus means low or little. The Little Horn of Daniel will arise from the reborn Roman Empire. The Dragon gave his seat and authority to the Beast, why? Because the Dragon was about to be bound; that is, the evil of antichrists filled with Satan will be limited or restrained for a thousand years. A thousand years later in 1215 AD the Magna Carta was created in England, which forced the English king to be subject to same laws of the land. 1215 AD is the beginning of the constitutional monarchy of England and will be the government system of the Ten Nations of the Beast's kingdom, or Western Europe. Thus the Beast is the Eighth Head or the United Kingdom and the other Seven Heads represent the other nations: Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The Little Horn plucks three horns, England, Scotland and Ireland by its roots. We need to remember that the imagery of the Beast is to convey the origins or history of the Beast. For example head of a lion represents England, Body of Leopard refers to common Germanic tribe ancestry and feet of bear represents Assyrian ancestry which includes Medo-Persian origins. The Antichrist is also called the Assyrian, because he will be descended from ancient Assyrians and Medo-Persians. What the Beast will become is a single kingdom ruled by the Antichrist over most of the earth, and the ten horns will be ten new kings appointed by the Antichrist. The Beast will not rule over the entire world, because he is the King of the North and there is a King of the South and also the King of the East. The Ten Kings are the kings of the West under the Antichrist. Here the directions are relative geographically. South being an alliance of African and Middle East nations; and East being an alliance of Russia and Asian nations. Who will attack America? It will be the Eastern Alliance, and every alliance has an elected leader or king of that alliance. There are many antichrists but The Antichrist is Western Europe which includes democratic nations like Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Australia was recently, in the past decade, included in the Eurovision contest; and the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK have the Five Eyes defense treaty. Western Europe in particular those ten nations still operate under the principle of "common law" that all began with the Magna Carta in 1215 AD. 1165 AD, represents the number 616 or 50 years before 666, when King Henry the Second was conquering Wales to extend England beyond its borders.
