Based on the highlights, the Lakers did a great job attacking the paint. The Nuggets have no shot-blockers, so this needs to continue. Lebron in the Dunker’s spot instead of Rui, allows Rui to stretch the floor (if he’s efficient for 3). To me, Austin is a revelation defensively. He and D’lo have to match Jamal Murray’s scoring output. Just get the series back to LA. If they can, the Lakers can take it to game 7.

AR just needs to get better at juggling both in the playoffs.

Dejounte Murray is out of the question at this point. DLo was on an expiring deal and the Hawks were still asking too much for him. As frustrated as fans are with DLo, please know that DLo is a better floor spacer and perimeter shooter than Murray also he defense has been pretty decent this year. Literally, the only gripe with DLo is coming up very small in the biggest moments. Murray's worth is really just DLo and a 2nd tbh, he's not that much of an upgrade if at all. And since Murray has never had to deal with the pressure of being a Laker or playing in actual big games either. He lowkey could have the same issue DLo has playing in big games. Lakers just need a a reliable guard off the bench that can be counted on in any moment like Alex Caruso tbh. At the very least if they are going to disappear on offense at least give me a guy that will give 100% effort and make winning plays every second he is on the floor, even if his shots not falling.

He unfortunately did not play very well in said playing time, though. However, I would keep him in the rotation. The small ball Rui/Lebron lineups have not fared well even against Denver’s bench.

Him just being in the game stopped Denver from getting those AG layups and putbacks that he'd get when AD is on the bench. Lakers need size, rim protection, and rebounding. Even if all Hayes does is grab a handful of rebounds, and save easy layups even if it means fouling, it'll extend the game enough for Lebron/AD to get rest, and prevent the Nuggets from running layup lines. Mike Malone probably has something up his sleeve for game 5 tho, and we know for a fact that Darvin does not.

he's was the biggest reason why the nuggets make that 20 point comeback in game 2. the nuggets in the 3rd quarter of that game put gordon on AD and put jokic on rui. every time jokic was guarding rui, he was backing off of him by just standing either at the midrange area or inside the paint and just leaving rui wide open. considering rui was statistically their best 3 point shooter and wasn't able to make the nuggets pay, that's a huge problem. if he can step up his performance, the lakers will win.

Too many times I saw him stand there right next to Joker who was backing someone down under the basket when he could have stuck his hand in there and not the ball away or at least upset their rhythm.
