Subs: should I stop uploading stuff this much in a row, or is it okay for you? This is up to you to decide of how should I do this. I can't put in on the shedule anymore, since the channel is not monetized, so I cant. Aaand, uhm... Yeah. I need your opinion on this, since I can imagine what a bitch this is - not to see any uploads from me, and then the whole freaking sub feed is spammed. Or is it okay? Leave a comment, I need to know your opinion. :3

-- Alt scene for Helm's Deep -- Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath! Now for ruin! And a red dawn!" He mounts his horse and puts on his helmet. The sound of the horn rumbles through Helm's Deep as Gimli blows with gusto. Theoden yells. "Forth Eolingas!" Theoden leads the charge out of the keep into the Hornburg, slashing away at the orcs as they go. Without pause, they storm out of the gate and down the Causeway. Much to Theoden's surprise, they were too late since Jack and Ashi eradicate the orcs. No survivors were left. The fellowship, Theoden and Gambling notice there are none to fight. Even Gandalf, Eomer and the Rohirrim observe from above and judge the enemies are already annihilated by the time they got here. The refugees and Erwyn celebrate at the feet of Ashi and Jack. Theoden, Eomer and the fellowship are upset that they didn't get any to fight. So much for Forth Eolingas.

I've always loved that look from Aragorn at 2:54. This is the face of a man that had accepted he was going to die in this battle and that the people of Rohan were lost, he is coming to grips with the fact that they somehow managed to pull it off against all odds, that look of relief is so well acted, Viggo is a legend.

i was 11 when this came out, and i never realized Gandalf didnt use magic to blind the Uruk-Hai. he literally arrived at dawn. puts that whole statement in a whole new light, a wizard arrives exactly when he intends to.
@ayfindril
@ayfindril 3 роки тому
There's debate on whether he did use magic there or not, he does possess Narya one of the three elven rings of power which influences the element of fire and light, while also being originally the wielder of the Flame of Anor (name of the sun in elvish) as he mentioned in his fight against the Balrog - so I would argue that even though Gandalf did come at the right moment, the light of dawn was also enhanced with his powers to inflict a blind CC debuff on the Uruk-hai

Gandalf seemed pretty weak imo. When I read the books as a kid I got this impression of a very powerful wizard. In the movies he hardly used magic except when he battled that dragon thing and became Gandalf the White. I enjoyed the movies don't get me wrong but he was the weakest magic user in the movies compared to the elves and his mentor. He was only stronger than the forest wizard.

I can imagine a something for Eowyn with Gambling at Helms Deep while these Uruk Hai entered. As the refugees found means into the mountains, Gambling led them there, leaving her behind. An Uruk Hai rushed at Eowyn from the shadows of an alcove. Taken unawares, Eowyn leaped aside then moved to block. From nowhere a string of arrows struck the enemies full in the neck, one after the other. It reeled back but recovered, blade held high still intent on destruction. Eowyn skewered it with a deft stab, and kicked the body away. Eowyn ran in among the pillars at the sides of the high-ceilinged yet rather bare room, using them to launch herself at the savage foes as they appeared. Other slow-witted goons with broadswords were not so much trouble, these being susceptible to her swift attacks. She added a refinement that she had learned: how to exploit foes' weakness on her descent in one fluid move that left them roaring in helpless rage on the point of her raised sword. Patiently the princess worked the room, doing her best to keep any attacker off the refugees. Gambling in turn supported her, stunning strays where he could draw a bead. There seemed too many to repel with finesse. Eowyn swung her sword viciously, hacking and slicing as each brute came close. She kept up a steady sweep and cut through without effort, and soon the enemies fall to the ground. Even so, yet more arrived, and Eowyn was surrounded once again. Combat was fruitless with the objective overlooked. Time was ever running out for the fleeing people. From the Glittering Caves to the main hall, it appeared empty while sounds of battle were heard outside. Outside Gandalf and allies from the North fought the enemies. The demons reeled under the force of the charge. A spear from Eomer was thrust, a creature swept off its feet. An Uruk Hai's sword came down but was blocked in a valiant clash of steel. One Uruk Hai lumbered through the tide and was clubbed aside in a solid blow by Gandalf, head smashed. Swords slashed and Isengard's armies were bludgeoned to the ground. Arrows from Legolas flashed and stunned first one then another. In the thick of it, Legolas kept up rapid fire. Gimli and Aragorn "Return to your master, creatures of shadow!" Gandalf declared, stamping his staff, emitting a magnesium bright energy burst, causing both allies and enemies alike to falter. Such intense brilliant glow was on the same level as the sun. The Uruk Hai were forced to retreat. They don't seem to notice despite their vast numbers they fled. Numbers do not win a battle. His blade flashed as he soared above the head of the first guardian, slashing down once and again before wresting it to the ground and delivering the coup de grace. They set to, knowing that she faced a desperate hand-to-hand fight, no quarter to be asked or given. She kept her guard up as they circled, looking for an opening, and as one took a lunge Eowyn bounded forward to assail them as they were exposed to attacks. She watched for the Captains to prepare their devastating swipes - whirling their swords about their heads - and hit them hard then. More often than not they instantly blocked, but she was at least able to limit their attack on her. She moved around wooden tables, looking for a moment to rebound and send two or three to the ground, at which she could spring over. Surrounded by Uruk Hai, Eowyn was momentarily cornered and Gambling finished them off. "Thanks!" she said cheerfully. "Don't mention it," the casual response from Gambling. The berserkers looked most likely to threaten Gambling and the people, and she stayed as close as she dared, ready to set one in stone if it looked ready to slash with its long sword with spikes on both sides of its tip. Should one catch her and knock her back, she was sure to get back on her feet before others gathered round. As she began to lose health, Eowyn made her way down the steps where she found a meagre supplies of food and water. By using one or two as a stone shield, she could buy time to recover lost health and still turn to retrieve before they revived. Gambling became surrounded by brutish monsters, that attacked him from behind if he stood overlong. Gambling moved about, attacking as he tended to each. They swept down from the walls in great number, one on another. He retreated behind the tables at one end of the room, that he might at least limit the direction of their attack. With strength and agility he gained peace at last, but sensed he had not long before others arrived. Temporarily outnumbered, he and Eowyn cast them all to the ground, then swung their weapons expertly and banished them to dust. As the last expired, they hurried to join the King and the Fellowship outside. By these means and much patience, Eowyn won through in her toughest battle yet. Her thoughts were on Aragorn. "All right, I've decided - I will marry him. I'll tell Lord Aragorn the first chance I get," she mused. "It's time to put an end to all this fencing about and not saying what one really means. We've made it this far; it's foolish to deny what we both feel!" They emerged into daylight they thought they might never see again. Aragorn was under imminent attack by Uruk Hai, and as Eowyn ran to help, others stopped her. She set about them in the same old style, and Gambling soon came under attack from them as well. With force born out of rage Eowyn took determination and thoughts. She moved swiftly, turning to strike suddenly as each creature lumbered after her. She used everything she had learned: slashing and moving quickly; keeping her guard and making opportune counters; rolling aside under their crashing swords; off walls and snatching weapons from foes. She moved slowly backwards, tempting them into a pack, where one would surely make a furious slashing attack, sending his fellows to the ground, at which Aragorn and Eowyn fought back to back. With Eowyn's assistance, Aragorn blocked their challenge and made swift reply, destroying each on a single blow and slowly and surely turning the tide against their number. When they snuffed out the last foe, the battle was won. People cheered at their salvation. Eowyn and Aragorn hugged expressively.

The scene right before Aragorn tells Theoden to ride out, is when he realized what Gandalf said and knew hope was on the way! So it was actually Theoden who believed he was ridding to his death once again. Aragorn always had a lucky, elvish way out of a jam, while Theoden, being just as or maybe even more fearless, met his challenges in a very human way. Man, LOTR has so many layers to it, its crazy.

When Gandalf was ridding out with Pippen he told Aragorn "Look to my coming at first light on the 5th day. At dawn, look to the east".

Gandalf : Theoden King, stands alone Eomer : Not alone. ROHIRRIM..To the King ! Such a simple dialouge, but breathtaking ❤ and yeah, Eomer still a badass character here , love him 😂 There are no words to describe the emotional I feel watching this 😢 and still never fails to give me the chills 🥹 The symbolism is so perfect : light always destroys the darkness, and all the build up lead to this charge , so beautiful 🥹 Still the best battle scene build up and satisfying charge in cinematic history 🌹 What a masterpiece 🎉❤

@Pacific Warship Umm no. Rohirrims would not charge directly into the horde of wights with near zero visibility. It's not about what kind of enemy they're facing, but their intelligence and strategy against unfavorable odds. Don't try to defend the steaming pile of meh that is the battle of winterfell.

@@bizarrelygreen5177 Yeah they would not do that. I just thought about Pelennor Fields when Rohirrims charged into whole army of Mordor orcs and they smashed them, and I need to remind you that orcs have bodies and armors. And most Undead from GoT are just corpses, and they looks kinda like skeletons. Dothraki could destroy their bodies only with a strength of a running horse, maybe they would not kill them but only eliminate from the succesful fight, because for example Undead without legs can't run toward the enemy. The charge we saw in The Long Night was senseless from a tactical, and logical thoughts for me.

As the Rohirrim rode down the slope, I always thought the Orcs were blinded by Gandalf's magic. But rewatching the scene made me realize it was the natural sunlight, as Gandalf had told Aragorn: "Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East."
