In the UK this was used as the theme tune for the comedy series 'Bottom' starring Adrian Edmondson and the great but sadly departed Rick Mayall. It was played by a group called the Bum Notes. I'm glad I found the original because it's always nice to give credit to the original. Great Tune.

Interesting. It seems that in the UK/BBC it was somewhat more common to use existing music as theme music on television than in the USA, where almost all theme music for television would be purpose- written for the show.

Teenager in high school, newest member of "a band." We knew virtually no songs, but we did have a good drummer, a good sax player, and a lot of guts. This was just about the first entry in our repertoire. Ain't it wonderful to take these little strolls down memory lane?

I was driving through New Mexico one day on Interstate 40 and called in a request to play Last Night on the local Navajo radio station. They did! And before I got out of range. Bless them. We used to sit in our cars in the late 50s with all the windows down in the Safeway parking lot and honk the horn to this song - good times, except when the cops objected.

I grew up in the Arkansas Delta town of Holly Grove in the 80's. Our teacher Mrs. Glass created a dance squad affectionately known as the drill dolls in the late 70's. I joined in 83 in 1st grade and stayed til end of 6th grade in 89. We performed many dances over those years, but we always began the show by high step marching to this song! So many great memories I still share today with my son, her grandson💜 who knew I'd love her son(my classmate) way back then.....

In the early 80's I listened to TC and John Ed as I was getting ready for work, and did a boogie all the way to the car when this played. I will never forget the blizzards and snow storms in those days that paralyzed us, and they were still on the radio, telling us what roads were closed, where to go, what #'s to call. (Before Spann was guiding us with his expertise and life saving reports.). And taking calls from everyone to give out info on your area. It's all we had then. Another radio duo can't even begin to compete with those guys. Icons in the Bham radio listening area.
