Hello everyone! In this video, I show my favorite perks of living with the Golf GTI for a year and half and after 15k miles on the car. I hope you enjoy the video!

I have a 2023 Moonstone Gray Autobahn GTI and it's just a little beast. Couldn't be happier!
@Garage-NineМісяць тому
I love Moonstone Gray, wish I could find one when I got my car, but it was very rare to find a manual GTI in the first place. 🙌

I will never stop running my fog lights during the day…coolest exterior design feature on the car!

If you have keyless start mabye you can open the trunk holding the trunk button on the key. The trunk will pop a little bit. And if you change the trunk shocks for others with more force it will open completely! Great video btw!!

Good content, presentation. All the best and wish you success. (I wish just a little more time spent on driving dynamics as much as the walk-through (I understand GTI warrants it)).

$500 stage one will unleash what vw has shackled, 360hp, 370lb/tq on all stock hardware! I have the same rims, I powder coated them in black as my gti is black. Love the rims now lol

Great video man love the content. Just a question, is the manual annoying to drive in traffic? I live in a very dense traffic area and I want the manual but I don't know if it'll get really annoying over time. Thank you ❤

I have a 6spd mk8 R. It's fabulous even in stop and go traffic
@Garage-NineМісяць тому
Thanks, appreciate the support! And to be honest I always disliked driving manual cars in dense traffic, as it can get quite annoying. But the mk8 has a really smooth clutch, and shifting gears is quite easy compared to the previous manual cars I drove. You'll for sure be annoyed if you're stuck in traffic often, but on the bright side you'll have a blast driving manual on more open roads. So it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons and see which will be more beneficial for you down the road. Hope this helps!

Really cool video about your GTI. It sounds like a winner and you really enjoy it as a daily driver. I'm 6'1" as well and it looks like that you are sitting very low in the driver's seat somehow. Do the seats have a height adjustment? Love that you got the manual option on the GTI. I think that this makes it a driver's car. Maybe i missed it, but is it a S, SE, or Autobahn version? Keep on doing the videos as they're really informative and your narrative is very good.
@Garage-NineМісяць тому
Thank you for your support! 🤍 The seats do have height adjustment, and my GTI is a SE.

nice car my guy. I have a 2024 GLI, i love that thing. Was thinking of getting a 2024 330i with the M sport but I'll stick with VW.
@prgbandit-_-Місяць тому
i’ve learned there might be a chance for my future car being this 🤠
@Garage-NineМісяць тому
It's indeed a very fun car to own and drive around! My plan is to keep it for many years to come, as VW is discontinuing the manual transmission.
@prgbandit-_-Місяць тому
@@Garage-Nine i know i hate that i wish no one would ever discontinue manuals

I’ve been debating between the MK8 GTI and R for the last few weeks now. I prefer the look of the GTI’s interior & exterior over the R. I think I can live without AWD but up here in Canada it would be nice. And 87 octane gas sounds good these days.

I too have the driver seat where I usually drive 😂

We have too much in common! 😂

How does ACC cruise work in a manual? Can you shift when it's activated? What happens if it aplies brakes?
@Garage-Nine24 дні тому
If you apply the brakes the cruise control will turn off just like any automatic car. But you can still shift while ACC is on, the car applies gas slightly automatically as you are releasing the clutch unless there's a car in front of you.

Im sorry, but its still: A FWD car which means you cant do proper launch control or just simple pedal to the metal from a stand still and you will loose transaction is wet and its a joke in the snow Touch controls are amazingly bad Sound isolation is not great as well as materials used in the car And its still a golf...just another golf Just so you know, im not a golf hater, and I personally oen GTI mk7, and I drove GTI mk8, while it is better to drive, its still a fwd golf with crap controls

No sorry the unbacklit panel on the 8.5 dash is inexcusable and a deal breaker. I’m actually shopping for a car right now and I wrote off the golf R and the GTI for that alone. Whoever designed that back in Germany, I’m sure he/she was dragged into the middle of Berlin Sq and shamed publicly. Utterly inexcusable and a safety issue. Yeah overtime maybe you’ll learn muscle memory but until then it’s a safety issue and who wants to pay 50 or 60,000 plus Canadian dollars for something that has such an utterly obvious flaw. Shame on them for not fixing that in the first year of production.
@Garage-NineМісяць тому
It is indeed a flaw/after thought, but the car offers a lot more than just that, and if the flaw is a deal breaker for you, that's totally understandable.
