Definitely agree with your assessment of the atmosphere. Ten Hag had never played at Anfield before and I believe he underestimated the impact of the occasion. A lesson learned. Utd will be just fine but they were naive today.

What people who dont go to Anfield dont realise is they quieten the crowd noise when you watch it on the Tele. So it doesnt overpower commentators. Anfield under the floodlights is electric ⚡️

Anfield is special, I remember watching Bolton there many years ago, the fans are friendly, the atmosphere is cliched in many ways, but you cant help but smile, even if Bolton had lost heavily that day, it still would have been a good game, I don't know why fans leave so early when tickets are so expensive, I suppose there are certain folk who expect victory and value that over the game.

Chelsea's atmosphere vs Dortmund was unreal and even dortmund fans, players and manager talked about it. for a dortmund manager to say this about stamford bridge coming from signal eduna park is incredible
