In Germany, there are thousands of doner/kebab shops run by Turkish people but it is usually very difficult to find a high-quality one.

@@walsertaler that's true, but why do they choose terrible engineered food when they have delicious real food for the same price or even less? Like I could get a pita stuffed with chicken or beef shawarma for $6-7 in the suburbs of Chicago. I've never weighed it, but one of them could keep a big guy like me satisfied for a whole day. And I know the meat quality is good because I know where they get it from. There's no ad powerful enough to influence me to buy a Big Mac over shawarma or any of the countless better options. Even when you put burger vs burger, the better burger chains still end up going out of business when McDonald's is nearby. I just don't get it.

They're probably the same one's who eat that crap everyday but can't figure out why their health is shot and they can't make it up the stairs. It's why we have such an obesity problem in the U.S., it's why we have kids who are 8 years old, but they weigh what a full grown man does. It's sickening. And I'm not even some food health nut. We have a really bad food relationship problem in this country. We don't want a hamburger, we want a triple cheeseburger with bacon on it. We dont want 12oz of soda. Super size it, we need 48oz. It's those sickening practices that have made us so complacent in the decline of our health. There's people in the world who haven't seen a meal in three days and we're throwing half of ours out because were so gluttonous we don't know what a sensible portion is. Sorry to rant, but it's just disgusting. My family does a lot of mission work. Meaning we spend a lot of time in countries affected by hunger, and usually the first time you witness a child with a swollen stomach from starvation and parasite infections, is right about the time you realize just how fucked our way of life is.

minced meat with vegetables ? thats shawarma cheating! It looks good but it's not even practical to cut, coz the meat is minced :D See how he has to be super gentle and using a wooden spoon to support the cut. there are million better ways how to prep minced meat..this lookslike like a fancy tourist food for me :P
