Turns out everyone loves cars, so we got curious: what's the most popular car in EVERY country? How many countries even ARE there? Well it turns out both of those questions are more complicated than you'd think, but we did our best to find out for all 196 countries! Hopefully this helps you with Geoguessr, this is the D-List!
And if you're curious, most of this data is based on recent sales figures, but not every country makes this info publicly available. There are some not-very-recent cars on this list and also some joke cars, because making jokey car videos is what we do.

About the Skodas: it made a huge leap in quality over the years and is sometimes preferable over VW, because you still get a very good car (very close to the VW counterpart) at a lower price and, IMO, with better looks to boot. Case in point: Superb vs Passat. Actually, the Superb was one of the options (the other one was the A6) as vehicle for ministers.

Yes the Corolla is the most sold car in Finland nearly from the beginning to newest… in 80s having a Corolla in Finland was same as owning a supercar, because most of the cars in 80s in Finland were mostly eastern cars like Ladas and Skodas. Speaking about Skodas, Octavia has been the second most sold car in Finland very long time, my Dad has a 2016 Skoda Octavia RS Combi with 230 HP. I have a Ford Excursion (the 7.2 diesel V8 model) SUV myself but I really love the sportyness of the Skoda. My Grandma has a VW Golf and her manfriend has a 1999 Toyota Corolla with the 2 liter turbodiesel engine. My best friend has Mazda 6 MPS 2013 and a Skoda Octavia TSi 2006. I am still thinking about buying a classic 90s Acura NSX (yes a Acura, mainly becouse its US made and has the steering wheel at the right place!)

Actually in Poland it's super rare to spot a Fiat 125/126 (both were produced here) even polish Polonez is very rare on the streets. From my polish point of view the most popular cars would be VW Golf Mk.IV, Passat B5 (and B5 FL) [mostly with 1.9 TDI diesel engine], Skoda Fabia (because it were super popular pick for salesmen and their fleets) or Audi A4 B5. Also a lot of Audi A6 C5/C6 (mostly diesel engines). And if it comes to new cars... Well... Mostly Dacia, Renault, Citroen and Peugeot, as these are fairly cheap and with good financing services

In South Africa, before the popular Polo Vivo, we had the legendary VW MK1 citi golf. Legendary not for its speed, but for the large number of trim levels & quantity of mk1 golfs manufactured and the years to which they were produced. Fun fact about Colombia: The most popular car in my country is the Renault 4, also known as the Amigo fiel (loyal friend) this car was the most successfull car in Colombia. Most people still keep one and it´s common to see one or two in the roads, and at least you travel in one or meet someone who have one, even I learned to drive in a Renault 4.

Trivia: Perodua Myvi was originally rebadge from early generation of Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon since Perodua are owned by UMW Copororation (the owner of Toyota and Daihatsu). Somewhere in 2016 or 2017, Perodua was given a chance to design the 3rd generation of Perodua Myvi that are also being used by Daihatsu as Daihatsu Sirion.

In Ecuador Chevy Aveos are everywhere, you see 10 different brand cars during traffic lights and at least 2-3 Aveos. You see always 1 aveo wherever you go, it's like they go after you, people use them for personal use, taxi and also in teaching. They are modified AF, especially by taxi drivers. Spark you see 1 and 4 Aveos by it hahaah

In Singapore, you need to pay around 20k-100k (depends on your luck) to own a sedan/SUV for 10 years, so it makes sense to just get an expensive and reliable one... So BMW and Mercedes SUVs are mom cars and family cars...

The honda brio is replacing the ultra popular toyota avanza in Indonesia. Fyi, the brio is classified under the LCGC segment which stands for low cost green car. It's cheap, reliable, efficient and modifiable. Some dude even put honda k20 engine into his brio. People turn it into drift cars, race cars, rally cars, cargo van, family haulers, show cars, moving speakers, and even off roader. Search it on yt and see what the indonesians did to that car, it is insane...

First of all thanks for covering all countries(a-ha, i watched till the end) But surprisingly for me (i’m from republic of Georgia, not US State) i have to say, that Hyundai Ioniq is not the best selling car here in Georgia. Although, they are mostly purchased by the government. I think the best selling cars for the last 5-6 years are Toyota Land Cruiser 200, Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Tucson and most probably Skoda Octavia’s but also with that said, we have to agree, that all of the mentioned above are purchased by companies as a fleet cars or by government officials, which is somehow affects statistics, but for the most part of Georgians we are importing cars from US insurance auto auctions (Copart, IAAI) and here is my top 5 cars which are very popular to import: 1) Toyota Prius (Gen 2, Gen 3) 2) Toyota Camry (Chasiss 40,50,60,70) 3) Ford Fusion 4) Chevrolet Cruze 5) Lexus CT,HS Since 4 out of 5 mostly are hybrids, that explains why they are so popular here in Georgia. Nevertheless, despite fact that gasoline price is now somewhere in the middle of black hole, i’m still with my NA Lexus IS250 Gen2. Because V6 naturally aspirated does what it has to ))
