At first glance, it seems that sewing women's trousers is difficult. But that's not true. Of course, there are models that require a precise pattern, cut strictly according to the figure, with a zipper, pockets, a sewn-in belt, and darts.
But if you want to sew pants for home or sleep, then simpler models that can be sewn in a couple of hours are suitable, but nevertheless they are comfortable and convenient.
First of all, you need to make a pattern. This pattern fits sizes 52, 54, 56.
For such trousers, light knitwear is best suited: a drawstring, a footer. This fabric looks like home. Even if there are imperfections during sewing, it will not be noticeable due to the soft stretch.
The pattern comes in size 54. But I have 52 and they fit me perfectly, only a little wide, but this does not play any role, it only adds convenience. The task is made easier by the fact that there is one seam along the trouser leg and the waistband is simply tucked up.
According to the diagram, the length of the trousers is 96 cm, but it is better to measure this value from the waist to the foot. The belt can be sewn on separately. But the easiest way to do this is to increase the height of the trousers at the top by 9 cm.
How to sew:
1) We cut out 2 such parts. I didn’t add allowances, but if you add them, the size will be larger. We fold them lengthwise and sew the internal seams.
2) Along the hip line, the width of each pant leg is 35 cm.
3) We connect both parts along the middle seam.
When unfolded, the width of the trousers along the hips is 56 cm - this is half-circumference.
4) Take a wide hem and mark on the waist line how much to tuck. We sew and insert the elastic (we measure the length according to ourselves).
5) To prevent the elastic from twisting during wear, sew longitudinal stitches on the waistband in 2 places.
6) I hemmed the trousers.
Before starting work, the fabric must be wetted to avoid further shrinkage.
These trousers are easy to sew and will definitely come in handy as home wear.
