Comparing my upscaling test of animation from Neverhood.
Original 320x240p vs Topaz with custom Proteus. Please take into account that I made this side by side comparison via an opensource video editor Shotcut and UKposts will do some nasty compression as well.
Trying to upscale the whole game without altering it's artstyle.

Damn! The community can already remaster Neverhood on its own! Some cutscenes have already been converted to 60 FPS instead of current 6. There's a guy who does the 3D model of the Neverhood world manually. And imagine that Dreamworks probably has a stash of 35mm film somewhere with every frame of the game. Too bad there is no action from Dreamworks.

I don't know where you get the 6 FPS, but the cutscenes were mostly in 15 FPS. Disks for example were 12 FPS. Generating extra frames is not good and shouldn't be done. By doing that you introduce unwanted visual artifacts and not actually accomplish anything meaningful. The animation was made with 15FPS in mind. Yes, the original uncompressed frames from animations do exist and quality of them is amazing, but EA owns the rights to all of that now, as they acquired DreamWorks Interactive.
