This log is the plantain or banana log after you have cut off the respective food from the grown tree. Useful way ro utilise the trees if ur not using it to make paper😊.

I plan to use this method to grow onions from seeds and also spring onions😊.

You not growing onions. You have/had me all confused. What is the purpose of taking an onion and planting it? You ended up with the same onion. Maybe you should have named you video after that green stuff you harvested. Maybe something like a 'new way to grow leafy greens from my onion.'

Growing onions means growing it from seeds, you are just using already grown onions to grow leaves

Complete hoax. Misleading title. Where are you growing onion? You are only having onion leaves sacrificing real onion. This technic is a complete loss project.
