I just beat Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 for the first time. Even though this trailer is two years old now, I’m sure it STILL gives everyone goosebumps like it did for me just now!

Shepard and the crew must return. I see no other way.

Theory: The reason why they came out with the legendary edition is so we can carry our saves to the next gen mass effect game

Clearly the N7 helmet piece can only mean one thing.....in the next Mass Effect we will be playing as Commander Conrad Verner.

It's been 2.5 years and this trailer still manages to send chills down my spine. It feels weird to say but can't wait to get another one whenever it may come out!

Just finished the legendary edition. First time playing these game and it’s had such a massive impact on me. This trailer has the exact same feel as those games, it’s hard not to get excited. Please take your time BioWare ❤️

I hope so much that we see Shepard again. The little N7 here seems to suggest we may, and given that the Destroy ending is seemingly considered canon by Bioware and when done right has Shepard survive, it seems entirely plausable. I know some people want to see Shepard's story end and focus on somebody else, but nah, I want more Shepard.

I really hope that we can play as commander Shepard one more time and continue the journey with all of the previous and new additional crew members. I also love ME Andromeda and hope that it will also continue as a spin-off in a future but Commander Shepard, N7, Normandy, it's crew member, and the original Mass Effect trilogy as a whole is and always have a special place in my heart.

Don't know who will see this - but mass effect got me through "self deletion", through the toughest times, through losing family and friends, through figuring out life. As a young man and teenager at the time I was able to escape into another life - a fictional world that took over my real world - I played the game as if I were actually living it. When Andromeda came out I played 5 minutes and threw it out. This trailer just transported me back to the world that saved me and so many others - i know it's about money, i understand creativity is dying...but please bioware, i now have an 11 year old daughter - when she's going through it and dad is not enough, I want her to have another mass effect world to escape into so she, like myself, when the console turns off, has hope again. I truly love the team that made this and I love the community. I literally teared up writing this comment. N7 Forever!

Take your time BioWare, make it a worthy successor. Your fans will come back.

A stroke of genius, isn't it? Launch the Legendary Edition, with all the games from that beautiful trilogy remastered and with all the DLCs. And on top of that free to play in Xbox Game Pass. You've managed to attract new fans like me and revive old ones, all in preparation for a game that must return to its origins after going to another Galaxy. I can only hope that this game, as well as the next Dragon Age, live up to expectations. After turbulent years, it's what BioWare needs. In fact, many game companies are in need of making their consumers smile again.

Please, please, please make it good. Don't let corporate interests overwhelm you. The Mass Effect trilogy is a unique piece of art entirely in its own class. Let people passionate about it develop it and take your time. Heck, if you want to remake the trilogy again in the meantime, perhaps updating the combat a bit, I WILL buy it to help finance ME4. Personally, I would LOVE to find out more about Leviathan and whoop their sorry and manipulative arses for making the mistakes they made.

Just finished Legendary Edition on PS5. I haven't had the pleasure of playing this iconic game before, although I remember the hype among my peers when I was a teenager. Today I am a mature player and traveling through the vastness of space together with a select company of heroes, exploring all the secrets of each part of Mass Effect was an epic experience for me. Great game, one of the best I've ever played. This trailer gives hope for a return to those wonderful moments. I keep my fingers crossed for the creators and for us, fans of this legendary series of games.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is the greatest surprise on the Citadel.

My first induction into Mass Effect was Andromeda, which I’m happy for because it was a great game… but then I played the trilogy for the first time, having finished it just a few days ago and it was… beautiful. Cried many times. Characters felt like I knew them. Story felt like I was there in Shepard‘s shoes. Never has a game series touched me in such a way. Replaying Andromeda made me wanna watch this again, and I’m so excited all over again for the next step in the story.

This game is not just a game for me, maybe it is for the developers and people at bioware, definitely for ea but not for me. Stories have power. Since the beggining of humanity we tell stories, they make us feel good and bad and all sorts of feelings. They change our thoughts, even shape our personality. And for me Shepard's story is special. In the worst times of my life her strenght, her determination, her hope pulled me out of my darkness, still does. Maybe it's silly, I don't know but whenever I feel overwhelmed, depressed or exhausted, I think of Shepard and tell myself, she shouldered the weight of the galaxy, fought like hell to give them a chance to survive. Compared to that what you're going through is nothing, get it together. It helps. So bioware, devs, I thank you for telling me her story and letting me turn it into my story. I don't know where you'll go with this next game. Whatever you do will never effect my view on the original trilogy, that was, maybe I'm exaggerating but, a life changing experience. But I would never say no to living another experience like that. I know you're good story tellers, you must be doing this with passion, not only because it's your job or for the money, look at the universe you created and the stories you told in it. You have the power to touch people's lives. Please use this power wisely.

It's so cool to see all the comments with people who have recently played the trilogy for the first time! Having played the originals when they came out I know exactly how you all feel about this series. I'm so glad we have new fans for this game, its beautiful.

I keep coming back to this trailer. One of the most hype and beautiful things ive seen in the trailer world. I absolutely love it. Gives me such nice feelings. Mass Effect is honestly a reason to live man. One of the wonders of the world. Please make it justice. I'll be awaiting the day.

If Mass Effect Legendary Edition transfers saves to this I will literally cry out of joy.

I’ve just played through the legendary edition again & I’m almost certain Shepard will be coming back & this game will take place after the destroy ending where Shepard lives. If you look closely at the original compared to the legendary edition a small change was made, when Shepard takes the breath showing he’s alive in the original the background consists of smoke, however in the legendary edition this has been changed to snow…just like the planet Liara has now found an N7 armour piece. Mark my words people

After finishing the legendary edition a few weeks ago and playing the second and third game for the first time......man the story, characters, so many moments where i laughed and cried, i have tali as my romance and for the little i knew of the game Shepard dies in all the endings except one and i tried to get it....just to had no idea how to get it and i saw tali putting my name on the memorial.... Then i sat there 15 minutes crying like a little bitch but then on the last mission she telling you she has a home and then you living not knowing what happened next.....i just hope this game changes that with a good ending for Shepard and all the crew A good ending once and for all

I just finished playing Mass Effect for the first time and I can’t believe I missed out on this amazing franchise, truly one of the best games I’ve ever played. I can’t wait to see where this franchise goes next, so long as they take their time and give these characters the proper continuation they deserve.

Take your time. Do it right. Release it in chapters if it’s too much for one big release. I don’t care about fancy graphics or next-gen features without good story. Good Story wins every time.

I'm playing the trilogy for the first time (mid of Mass Effect 2) and man, I don't get why I like Shepard so much. Its the first time I feel this way about a video game character. I fear when I finish the game it will makes me feel empty.

I'm currently playing through the 3 games in the legendary edition. The continuity and impact the earlier games have on the next are amazing. I made sure to do perfect runs on the first 2 and the payoff with the returned characters and story options in the 3rd is well worth it! Love this series so much!

We need a full version of this song, it's too damn good. The sound design, the visuals, the music, it's such a rush to see this trailer, it never fails no matter how many times I watch it. I'm equally excited as all hell for this game and also terrified of it not living up to the expectation. Take your time and make it count Bioware.
