This is the OC version of the card NOT the MSRP version that everyone else tested. We recorded this card boost to around 237MHz higher than the MSRP cards. We mentioned this right at the start of the video and also mentioned that the VBIOS issue that impacts performance on the MSRP version does NOT apply to the OC variant.

These 40 series cards will be great for the budget market in 3 years.

Man I haven't followed PC hardware at all in almost a year. I used to be a die hard guy and have to admit I have no idea what a Ti-Super is ... Miss the days of easy naming where it was just Ti.

Honestly MSI did you a favour with the OC version. I got the standard one with the VBIOS issue and I ended up testing it three times....

Really enjoyed these graphs. Everyone else has these graphs that’s just absolutely massive and overwhelming. This cut fat and gives gamers mostly what they care about. If you could add 1% lows though and I believe it would give the average Joe what they need to know about GPUs if they’re in the market for a brand new GPU.

I really think the OC Ventus version you had reviewed has saved it some embarrassment. Brian from Tech Yes has the vanilla non oc version with much weaker results. Two issues prop up for me when it comes to the RTX 4070 ti Super. (Owner of a RTX 4080) Instead of increasing the L2 cache to 64 mb's, It retains the 4070ti's lower cache amount. I'm also wondering if the lower power draw of 285 watts might also be power limited? I recently picked up a Asus 4070 Super with no regrets. Awesome video. I just took your advice and bought the RTX 4080 over the 4070 TI. I paid $1500 for the 4080 (by PNY) on sale which is the same price as the new 4070 TI Super. I was looking forward to the 4070 TI Super but I expected the performance to be closer to the 4080 as opposed to being marginally better than the 4070 TI.

Is this on a newer driver or something? Because other content creators showed that their 4070 ti supers were only around 8% faster than 4070ti in most cases. Sometimes only 3-4 fps faster. But here the msi 4070 ti super seems far better .

Best fps video yet super simple and I love how you do AMD with and without ray tracing and dlss for Nvidia

hopefully u can compare wihout dlss or frame gen. if you could u should enable AMF too

Ive had my fill of videos on these cards, but i want to support the content creators.

I bought a $799 USD Zotac 4070 Ti Super 16GB mainly for the extra VRAM over the old Ti and regular 4070/Super. I feel like since I am skipping the next generation of cards, 16GB VRAM would serve me well longer term. My use case is odd though, as I have a Dell Precision T7820 Dual Xeon Gold workstation with 192GB RAM and 950W power supply and I could not get two different manufacturer's RX 7800XT cards to work in my system. I tried clean installing the drivers, bios update and resets, changing the PCIE slots, underclocking the GPU, but both cards would freeze and black screen back to the desktop in 3D applications, games or otherwise. Strangely, I could drop an old Sapphire RX5600XT in it and it was 100% stable? It was unfortunate as the AMD 7800XT really checked most of the requirements for me and was $300 cheaper. Anyhow, yeah, I wanted 16GB VRAM and it had to be Nvidia, so this was it (other than the questionable 4060TI 16GB). I imagine even with the dual Xeon Gold 6140's, that this 4070 Ti Super is CPU bottlenecked, but it runs everything smoothly at 3440x1440 that I play with room to spare. Lastly, a big shout out to Microcenter, who let me exchange those RX cards and find something that worked in my specific system with no hassle.

not a fan of using frame gen that muddies up the real performance i get from my card; the only helpful info are the horizon and tomb raider benchmarks still looking forward to the fedora coverqge tho, wayland was still a PITA with my 3070 recently

Please test raster performance without insane RT, or prioritize that AND test with RT, also pls test without frame gen, upscaling is much more relevant than FG, imo.

I currently still have a GTX 1070. I was going to upgrade to this card. Would you still skip this card? I don’t know if I can wait for the 5000 series. I want to play in 1440p, and I feel this card is better than the 4070 Super.

I love my XFX 6900xt Limited Black XTXH equipped card. It natively runs at 2550mhz/ 2000 and a quick auto overclock goes to 2750/2250...bought it new for $900 right when cards started to come back in after the card apocalypse ended and paired with my 12700k its a 1440p monster still.

there is a vBIOS issue that in some instances reduces performance by up to 5%, your review should take account of this issue.

Should have tested using a 7800X3D where the 7900XT is better suited. Something is off with this review as other reviewers are finding the 4070 Ti Super a lot slower than your results for some reason.

You should have chosen some more newer games like AlanWake 2 , Re4R.

Most reviewers have focused on games and that's not where the real improvement is. For content creators and other productivity work this has been a good upgrade.

Currently the price (AUD)of 4070 Ti Super is almost the same as 4080 so I definintely wait & see before making a purchase till Sep when AMD release 8000 series AM5 CPU & chipset....

Why are you testing with upscaling only on mw3. Who uses upscaling on a multiplayer game.

It just depends if your a 1080p or 1440p player you should choose rtx 4070ti but if your a 4k gamer then the 7900xt is perfect for you.

I think the 4080S will be the best launch in this Super series.

Most of the recent GPU releases from the big 2 haven't really impressed me to be honest. Having said that, I don't play anything demanding, nor do I sip from the consumerist kool aid. 3+ year old tech still working fine for us.

And still manages to go less in raster, nvidia is a joke I don't really care about fancy lights, and if I wanted to, the 7900xt still offers performances between a 4070 and 4070 super in that regard, more than enough With both cards you still need either frame gen or dlss/fsr to have a smooth ray tracing experience regardless

i dont think so, a 4070 ti was 1000Euros in portugal and now a 4070 ti super its 1000 and a 4080 its 1500$... so the 4080 super whould cust much more (base sell of 4070 ti must be 800$ not 100 soo... im counting on that)

Wasting potential on that 7900XT with that 14900K not utilizing its full ReBAR support its being limited to 256MB instead of having access to the entire memory like how it would with an AMD chip. But these benches seem off to begin with the 4070TI Super isnt that fast.

I get why frame generation was used in the tests, if the feature is available then why not use it. But yeah no one should be buying the 4070 Super Ti with the 4080 Super around the corner.

Using Cyberpunk with overdrive is a pretty disingenuous representation of this card to make the 7900xt look worse. Sure Nvidia is better at RT but using such a small sample of games and only Overdrive CP2077 (which is a technology literally only one game has) is not an average representation of the performance of the card.
