Fourteen years ago, at university, I met a fellow student who looked just like that guy. The style, the attitude, the clothes, the sly smirk, the facial features, the cluelessness when it came to his own cheesiness...the resemblance was uncanny. To this day, he's still one of my best friends, and although his current style is nothing like it was back then, deep down, he'll always be pretty fly for a white guy. I went to a wedding reception fairly recently, and me and my cousin requested them to play this song. They didn't play it for a while since a lot of other people were requesting songs as well, but when they did we were full on explosive screaming while everyone stared at us awkwardly. Jesus. Hard to believe this was 1998. It still sounds pretty fresh, in my opinion. Music video is obviously dated, but the humour and music feels almost timeless. Watching this makes me so happy! Definitely one of the best pop-punk performances of the time.
