So I'm listening to all of their songs and albums and I just found this song again and I didn't even know it was from them, but it sounded like something I heard before so I was confused. And DAMN then I remembered I used to listen to this yeeeeeeaaars ago. An old friend of mine showed me this band in 2014 I think and I loooved it! And I'm so fucking happy I found it again!

I think some take the "Kill Me" too literally. Yes there are images of death but still. Its a bit like the reaction to Nirvana's "Rape Me". Often these things are metaphors. What of the King of the Hill's frequent "Just kill me now!" responses to bad situations? Taylor would have to say what was meant by the song to know for sure. It is a dark song but reflective of how many people are feeling in the world today. There is much loneliness, fear, suffering, and hopelessness. TPR does have many religious references in their songs but is that much different than society generally? Religion is injected into everything and and more often than not used to cloak who people really are in an aura of undeserved righteousness. I'm not religious but those who are should not be surprised by the numbers of people abandoning religion after if has been used and abused for millennia to control and suppress people while bringing power and riches to those hypocrites to whom it is nothing more than a tool. I love TPR and think Taylor's voice, song writing ability, and beauty are phenomenal. I'm glad there are women who can tear it up but then I love her song "You" which is the polar opposite of this and also very moving. I hope they keep the great songs coming.
