Hello guys, this video was made available by the channel "Inventions DIY" ( / @invencoesdiy , which demonstrates the simplified construction of an electric motor, for educational purposes.
This electric motor is a device that works with direct current, also known as DC current, it converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
As seen in the video, it has a rotating shaft known as "rotor", composed of a single coil (coils, are copper wires wrapped in a circular shape), while the stationary part is composed of a permanent magnet, called a "stator" . For its operation, a direct current source is used, and a 9-volt battery is applied.
With the use of electricity, magnetic fields are created that oppose each other, so that it moves the rotating part (Rotor).
The magnetic field of the permanent magnets and the repellent action of these opposite poles makes the rotor rotate.
