This is soo true.. But the real situation is even more dull. For the sake of the work, schools are providing the online classes to the students without considering whether they have or haven't necessary access to the resources. This malice is pervading in rural regions more abruptly

These schools teach anti education based on a failed economic model.only the schools in Finland actually educate their citizens bcuz their education system is not based on following other failed systems. I think India may be at a realistic model of education also

This thing is also evident in India. Students preparing for NEET/JEE (and for many other competitive exams) who pay lakhs of fees in coaching institutes get a remarkable edge over the students who can't afford to go to these coachings. Most of the teachers teaching at these institutes are IITians, doctors, etc. These coachings provide great facilities to their students, so the results are obvious. There are very few government colleges (of class 11 and 12) in India who actually prepare their students for these competitive exams. Also what I have noticed is that it's not just the school that you go to matters but also the kind of peer group which you have. Also, the support and thinking of your parents and the overall society and environment in which live matters when it comes to education.

"An education that prepares learners for life after school" I would really love to see this. In my country, we are trained to seek jobs, so may graduates are frustrated by the education system. Most of them end up studying by staying in school all their lives as a defense mechanism. Our education needs to teach the mind, heart and hands for us to be a bit more successful.

A voice from Cambodia 🇰🇭! I came from a state owned school and finished my high school examination with A grade. Then, I enrolled in a state owned university and completed my bachelor degree last month. Recently, I joined a Management Trainee Program to compete with other fresh graduate students in order to earn the top 5 spots to be qualified. One of them was a girl that graduated from foreign countries (she spent 3 years in Singapore and one year in Australia) and I can see clearly see the difference between us in term of languages, skills, and knowledge. It’s hard to stay being optimist because in reality students from rural areas in my countries don’t even know how to properly use a computer while those in urban areas ace this skill and other multiple skills since they were young. To my knowledge, one of the possible ways right now is to enrich the English language to the disadvantaged students and also creating high quality educating contents in our own language, namely “Khmer”. Ideally, I hope those students will obtain the proficiency in English language, then study the contents that suit their interests through educational media that vastly available at hand now.

I'm from India and here, students can get admission to all the big universities only through an entrance exam. Due to covid the exams were postponed in April (which is the usual time they happen). Now when the country has hit peak infection the Central Government has decided to hold all the exams. At least 30 million students attempt these exams each year. Despite the clamour from the students and Opposition, the Government is proceeding with it. Students have a long list of various concerns that are brushed aside. 1. Due to the rains, many regions are flooded, families displaced and property destroyed. 2. Transportation is nearly impossible. Some States have still not lifted the lockdown, so trains, buses and taxis are either unavailable, or charge exorbitant rates. 3. The Exam Centres are few and far between, particularly in the rural areas. Without means of transportation, students are unable to reach the exam centres. Even if they do manage to arrange for transport, as hotels and restaurants are closed, or open only for takeout, they cannot find safe accomodation 4. Many of the students have applied to multiple universities offering same or similar programs. They all have entrance exams in September. If a student tests positive due to any of these exams, either he cannot take the exam, or he infects hundreds of others when he attempts the paper despite the illness. And like always the poor and disadvantaged in the country are suffering the most in this situation. The government has offered no explanation or assurances for safety This is a no win situation for both students and their families. The government has no solution that affects millions of students' education and career other than to postpone the exam or hold the exam. This is the state of education in India right now, due to an incompetent government.

Many things comes into play when it comes to excelling at studies. Like parental pressure (or support), the surroundings in which you live, the peer group which you have (eg. if your class environment is competitive, you would automatically start working harder. But if the students with whom you spend your time are misguided and not serious about their lives, then it becomes a destructive recipe for your future as well), whether you are surrounded by the people with positive mindset or negative mindset, the resources you get, the quality of education you receive (this is usually dependent on the kind of teachers you have and the system your school follows, etc. Also, it's not just the financial thing. I have seen many rich kids getting spoiled because they didn't got the right parenting and environment. So, many things play role in education.

India has a simple system. Deny college seats and government jobs to those considered privileged irrespective of their test scores. two ways to address inequality - Lift the ones below or suppress the ones considered on top. The former is tough but the later is easier for bureaucrats and politicians. India has been following the "suppress the top" since independence and it has become quite rabid at it now.

Why do we not witness studies that contain real data, and why are there no researchers who shed light of their societal interest on the problem of low awareness of university students after graduation. In the past, graduates were more competent and careful, were polite speakers, and were top-notch writers. Did the educational orientation differ or were consumed principles not beneficial to society and the country ?! All are anxious questions, but no answer calms the fears of rational people. The errors are as follows: 1- The inclusion of professors who are not fluent in teaching methods and possess neither the art of public speaking nor the philosophy of written photography. 2- The content of the book is satisfied without an explanation that serves the minds of the students, as they explain water with water. 3- Reliance on computer systems and confusion in the vicinity of the Internet to make students fall prey to political and pornographic voices far from education. 4- The deterioration of the educational curricula to below the cultural level and the exclusion of the backbone of any language, which is poetry. And many of the dangerous gaps that will lead to the birth of a failed generation that cannot differentiate the false word from the truthful word because of the poor educational system. ALI SUROOR

I live in Uzbekistan. We also face these difficulties linked to education inequality. But I work at the education center, so called private school, and the situation leaves me to be desperate at times. This is the case because some students, although minority, are difficult to educate and it's really hard for them to digest the even simpliest information when at the lessons. I believe that a family background of such students has a lot to do with this issue. I barely find time to workout extra time with the students that are falling behind in general. But the thing is, the pupils are falling behind is because the basic education from their toddler time wasn't meant to develop their logics and reasoning as much.

Wow so much compliments for Singapore? Don't be fooled. Basic education are given to most citizens. But when it comes to tertiary education, Singaporeans don't usually get entry to their local universities. Instead, foreigners are given priority. This also applies to jobs. Foreigners are given priority in Singapore in many ways: housing, education and jobs. Why? Because of revenue. Citizens are heavily subsidized for their education in Singapore, but foreigners pay in full. Whoever has the money to pay for a tertiary education in FULL in Singapore, gets a spot in the university. Hence, we are back to the problem on nationalism and income inequality. If you're a citizen in Singapore, you're a second or even third class in society. You feel like a neglected child and thinking why does my parents (government) hate me

If you really want educational equallity or equity, you should live in a socialism countries. Arguing about the equallity in the free competitive market where we are living is absurd.

LOL. An all girls school that scores well above national average and the teacher still can bring up all kinds of excuses to make them seem like victims of inequality. So much bullshit in this world.

The consciousness of any society can only be established through the mother tongue I do not necessarily mean the spoken dialect or the language of the uneducated Because the attempt to generalize the spoken language in the conscience of novels, stories and poetry has one goal exclusively: Dropping societies into the trap of limited thinking, which makes minds trapped between shallowness in thinking and gasping behind the course of life, such as searching for sex, food and drink Because the heavenly revelation did not speak the spoken language, why is the language of the streets circulated in books, and what did societies gain from spreading this cheap philosophy? The solution is: go back to the official language And the difficulty of language is the basis for opening the closed doors of the mind. ........... is over

@@abcdefgh-rq3gq public schools are a lot better than private ones where I live. Also, producing inequality is _really_ not an argument for capitalism being good...
