This is a Korean show from the late 90's. I watched this show when I was young. At that time, MMA was not well known in Korea. It may seem awkward from the point of view of modern martial arts, but it was a great match at the time. But this show was for kids, and the purpose of the show was to answer kid's curiosity. Therefore, the two martial artists focused on showing the characteristics of each martial arts rather than a confrontation that hurt each other, and the result was a draw.

Both participants were holding back; neither one was attempting to really block and counter. Both were throwing side kicks, roundhouses, and 360s. Punches looked weak and sluggish. Yes, the Monk was more relaxed; TKD Master was intense and focused. I'm a TKD Blackbelt and would have liked to have seen some contact.
@surfwriter8461
@surfwriter8461 Рік тому
Yes, both are clearly avoiding hard contact; I assume that was the plan. So it's mainly a showcase for style differences, not martial arts power or effectiveness in combat. I would also say both styles could be considered external or hard styles, unlike internal styles Tai Chi and Bagua, though the Shaolin monk is definitely trained in using chi in combination with strikes and kicks. That's not the same as "jin" power which is internal power in various forms and can be used in concert with technique or without it.

When he attacked, he attacked, 9x as much as the other opponent, all at once, and very quickly. He was de-energizing his opponent, so he could not been as fast in defending himself. @@joaquinmenendez3899 No... the Immovable object can only win if the unstoppable object was not literally unstoppable but was actually stopped and stopped by the immovable object When nothing happens there is no winner the result is neutral (a tie if you will)

@@martinkuliza “nothing happens” can’t exist because that implies that the immovable object wasn’t moved by the “unstoppable force”. Its either one or the other must win. That’s literally the point of the phrase. lol???????

@@joaquinmenendez3899 "Nothing Happens" can most certainly exist,, what are you talking about ? if you sit in one place and do nothing then nothing happens it can most certainly exist "Its either one or the other must win. That’s literally the point of the phrase. lol???????" You laugh but you sound stupid 1. THE PHRASE ITSELF WHEN IT WAS INVENTED IS FLAWED AND IT NEVER ACTUALLY CHECKED IF THE IMMOVABLE OBJECT WAS INDEED IMMOVABLE AND THE UNSTOPPABLE FORCE ACTUALLY UNSTOPPABLE so when you laugh, it's stupid 2. No, it is not a requirement that someone MUST WIN, No, Not at all 3. There are only 3 outcomes, you can pick one Outcome 1 The immovable object is actually Immovable but the unstoppable force is not actually unstoppable but assumed unstoppable. in this case IMMOVABLE OBJECT WINS because it cannot be move Outcome 2 The immovable object is actually moveable and the unstoppable force is unstoppable in which case UNSTOPPABLE FORCE WINS Outcome 3 All Assumptions were true and unstoppable object is unstoppable and immovable force is truly immovable in which case THEY CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT AND THERE IS NO WINNER AS THEIR CANNOT BE , THE RESULT IS NETT ZERO IT'S A TIE, THERE IS NO WIN IN THIS CASE My point literally was that the saying is flawed it's a bullshit assumption THINK FOR A SECOND How can a human be an unstoppable force when .... if a car was to hit you you die How can a human be an immovable object when i can push a human out of the way if i choose IT'S A BULLSHIT STATEMENT There are no immovable objects here There are no unstoppable forces here THAT'S A FACT so there can be a win and a win will be obtained when One person STOPS the other of one persons MOVES the other too far but you laughing and holding behind that statement is stupid because the statement is flawed

It's a cheographed show with a jumping monk, not more. Apparently too many people have watched too many Bruce Lee fake movies here. Why would a monk never do that against a world class MNA fighter ? Please tell me 🤔😀
