I'm not a hundred percent sure but I thought they could do that. With the free update, they can be a stylist influencer so that kind of fits.

With all of the footage they show of those other possible careers it's incredibly disappointing that they aren't going to be added, if they really aren't. I don't actually buy the packs for gameplay content anymore because it isn't fun. I just buy it for cosmetics. Supremely overpriced cosmetics, but the gameplay they add gets old after like, two hours?

Elicia Williams you should really inform yourself a bit better,THIS pack ONLY has the actor career,*but* EVERY single career we gotten will be able to get fame so you can be famous in so many different things! And you don’t even have to have a career to get famous you can also be a DJ or Singer! And it takes a lot more to get really famous in Sims 4 other than sims 3 so you wont be bored in 2 hours

@@paulmiller5195 If you read the whole thread, you would know that Elicia was referring to other careers such as paparazzi, body guards and directors. Careers that are still shown in the trailer but are mainly just there to be a service. And the sims has lost so much depth in their content, so even though it may take more time to "Get famous" the ideas are just being recycled and not much NEW content and ideas are being added. (Mainly new big concepts/ideas, obviously there are diff approaches but I mean ideas as a whole not little things that may be diff)

I know that the packs are a lot of money and they are taking the same packs and separating them but they are making them more detailed and it's not like we have to buy every single pack. I f you prefer how ts3, ts2 and ts1 is cheaper then go play them.

The expansion pack is most likely not finished yet, they're just showing us the expansion pack now to show us how it will be, they will probably add the other things like modelling, singing and stuff!

Honestly, it is a fun pack, I just wish the world was bigger. Maybe even a beach neighbourhood, then it‘d be waaay better! I just can‘t stand those tiny residential areas. It would have been nice to have a few more townies to meet too, but that‘s just me. I really like the pack, but that world was so disappointing:/

YESS!! Objectively it might be alright but personally for me I had so much fun with it when it came out SIX years ago and I have SO many amazing (and I really want to emphasize the amazing) memories with it. I mean what can I say, no Sims DLC will probably never top this and what I've experieced with it. It's pretty impossible too since I was still quite young when this came out. The trailer was and still is sooo good, that song pick is so fitting it was actually my favorite song for a while back then, I loved watching the videos people made especially the ones from my country and overall that time in my life was amazing as well, just the trailer brings me completely back and I'm filled with so much nostalgia. I could literally rant about this all day but really this pack was and probably still is peak and it doesn't deserve all the hate it got

Definitely agree, I've always loved the LA vibes it brings, It's one of my favourite worlds too. Only thing i don't like is that it don't snow here and i do like the snow. But then again if i wanna go in the snow i always have the mountains. Not many lots though that is an issue but it does hold probably my favourite lot location in the entire game. That spot at the very top of the world. Although i hate the default house because of how much it throws my camera around but if you find a good house in the gallery it's a beautiful spot. Like i use Tony Starks Malibu Mansion you can find in the gallery. Such a beautiful location for that house.

exactly how i feel about island living. i live in a tropical beach town in australia called the gold coast and i love all things beachy and tropical so i was super excited for it. it doesn’t feel like it’s been 2 years yet it feels so long ago as well and brings back a lot of memories whenever i watch the trailer. it’s probably covid that makes it feel longer but doesnt at the same time

Lol I’m a university buff too. University and an island paradise type pack are all I’m waiting for. I was Disappointed at first but I see the potential w Get Famous. I know university will come and I’m still very hopeful bc they could give it to us as a gamepack which means we won’t have to wait so long for it to be in place of the next expansion after this one.

Dangerouskoala I think university is more likely than island paradise. Mainly because they have already done two vacation packs and they admitted to stretching themselves too far with the Sims 3 Island Paradise. It was too much for a game that was struggling already, it was buggy, rushed and just too difficult for the system to handle (remember this was the last expansion pack for a game that had come out on quite an outdated system by then). I don’t know whether they would want to go near that again. It would more likely be just a beach pack similar to one of the vacation worlds in the Sims 2.

The beach lots in Sims 2 worked pretty well, even if you couldn't swim. I'd be very happy if they brought that back.

30-40$ = GTA V on Steam, Restaurant, Entry tickets to a Carnival/Rollercoaster Park, 4 tickets to a concert, 1 night at a motel! You could afford any of those things with that much money! Not to mention The Sims 4 itself costs $60!!

I never said i wanted to buy it, i am just telling you and others that the price of Expansions are a little overboard to me. Yes, i know it takes a lot of time and money to make an Expansion, but then again, i don’t want to pay 39.99 for an EXPANSION pack. Expansions are just little add-ons that enhance the game. Sure EA has to make as much money as possible to make decent content, and i’m not saying that they are literally and figuratively forcing us to pay a fuckload of money, all i’m saying is that EA might be just overkilling the price a bit. If you wanted a candy bar, and the candy bar costed 10 bucks, you’d probably have to think that’s a little ridiculous. That’s what i’m saying with all the packs! i don’t want to upset people over this and give people the wrong message, but i am just bringing this to everyone’s attention, that EA might be taking the price a little too high. They are their own company and they can do what they want! But it’s just ridiculous to me about the price, considering that The Sims 4 itself was 60 bucks, and what you said about development of games, that it takes a lot of money and time, The Sims 4 took over 3 years to make, but EP’s like this, we only waited a little more than a year and a half or so for this!

You realize that TS4 Expansions on average have over 100 more items than TS3 Expansions, so where this community consensus of TS4 Expansions being underdeveloped came from. But just like with the Sims 3 when everyone hated it and said "TS2 WAS SO MUCH BETTER", those same people are now saying TS3 was the best Sims game. The same thing will happen with TS4 so.
