Yeah, I didn't think I would get excited this quickly for an expansion but this LOOKS like everything I'd want for a business expansion. I missed OFB type things in Sims 3 and I loved the careers that came with Ambitions. Hopefully our excitement proves to be worth it.

I still always play sims 2. I even recently got a bunch of cc and ive got all the expansions thanks to origin. (i got the ultimate collection)

I think that people who say it should be in the base game, mean the careers: medicine, law enforcement and science careers. Those careers have always came in the base game, and now they just made it "cooler" and added some more things so we would forget the fact that we're actually paying for careers that should be in the base game.

***** Actually the medicine career path and solving crimes (private investigator) were in Sims 3 Ambitions. And being able to run your own business comes from Sims 2 Open for Business. Not all of the career paths were in the base game.

Lord Anaki No, the medicine career was in the base game but when you have Ambitions installed it will give you the opportunity to participate in activities outside of the rabbithole: local emergencies, free clinics, vaccination clinics, house calls, etc. I specified which careers used to be included in the base game: "medicine, law enforcement and science careers". All I said is that we're paying for careers that used to be in the base game, but they added on that: made them interactive, added the baking and photography skill, the ability to run your business, and so on, so we would FORGET the fact that we're paying for something that we shouldn't, and feel like they're giving us so much for the price we're paying, when they're not.

Tbh, even on my shitty computer the loading screens are pretty fast. The loading and saving on Sims 3 was long enough for you to go take a shit before going back to it. And if you torrented all of the expansion packs and the store content? Oh boy, at least 5 minutes in the female clothes area that you have to wait so that everything will load and it won't run like crap. I think there's a big improvement on loading screens, but it's still not worth it right now. Should wait another half a year for more "Expansion packs" i.e Sims 2 recycled packs with bug fixes to come out before even considering it as more than a Steam Alpha game.

I believe that these screens should be when a sim leaves a neighbourhood. If you noticed the game splits in 4 neighbourhoods. One is with the Gym etc and the other are with the houses. It would be better if the screens were between the neighbourhoods, not every house.

Honestly I was expecting to hate loading screens but I really don't its so much more manageable for me since I play on a laptop. Even though I loved sims 3 half the towns were unplayable because of their size now, in theory, we could have much bigger towns and cities by breaking them down like this. Does it kind of suck that I can't flip between my sim at home and my sim at the park without a loading screen? Yes a bit. but I'll take it over open worlds that were basically unplayable without mods.

I'd quite like that. I've only played a little bit of other Sims games, so I don't know too much but I much preferred getting in the car pool or driving to places than just disappearing.
