I think the reason why people are so upset that this isn't like seasons/pets/ambitions is because tons of people like to play versions of their own life within the game. I know for me, playing sims is like a little escape from reality, and expansions like seasons really bring the aspect of real life to the game. Don't get me wrong, this expansion looks cool for some people. But I think the majority of simmers like more realistic gameplay.

these trailers have definitely changed my mind about get together. this trailer was amazing and i can't wait to try out that dance floor. this ep takes partying to the next level and the sims 4 will be turnt up lol

I originally thought this looked like more overpriced extras but if everything we see in the trailer actually translates into new in game items and actions, it will be a damn impressive pack.

This is the first time I've been excited after watching a sims 4 trailer! I'd REALLY LIKE some family/generations focused gameplay additions but this in it's own right looks great. But please, next release has to be something not party related!!

This pack is getting better and better with each trailer, i've already pre-ordered it, it has the potencial to be one of my favourites because the idea is kinda of a mix between late night and university life, two of my favourite packs in the sims 3!!! After this I only want seasons and I'm one happy simmer!!

So, here's my take on toddlers. At this point, just assume they are never coming, let your self get really upset about that for a few days, then like any disappointment, get over it. Then, if they come, you'll be super surprised and caught off guard, and really excited about them, instead of saying "finally". And if it takes them a bit for them to come, or if they don't come, you'll have already accepted it, and be able to go on with your life.

Oh, I like the whole street dancing thing. It reminds me of when you could basically be your own side show in Showtime for TS3. I think I saw a tip jar when that chick was gettin' down, lol! Ugh, I can't wait! TS4 is bringing so much new stuff that I never expected and I'm grateful for it! Thank you, Sims Team! Keep on keeping on!

I'm going to use this expansion to focus on my kid and teenage sims! Mainly because clubs for adults doesn't seem too realistic. Time to start preparing my sims for this expansion!

I'm trying REALLY hard to like get together, but I just don't feel it with this expansion pack. It feels like they are trying to make the expansion look like more than it is. It really is just two skills and the club system, plus the usual neighborhood and stuff you usually get with these packs. The club system is like an advanced (and I'll admit that this new one looks better) version of the one we had in ts3 university life, but in that same pack we got university, with all the new interactions and places that entailed. Even with ts4 get to work we got three new careers with special interactions for each and every one of them, plus the ability to own a store, plus aliens. Windenburg looks nice, and the club system seems really neat, but it's too little to build an entire expansion pack around. And no, I'm not complaining about this new pack because I want EA to bring back packs from the previous sims games, I like that they're trying something new, I just don't like that every new game seems to include less and less content, and also nothing that the sims community has been asking for (and I don't mean toddlers, what I mean is that it's clear that EA doesn't listen to anything we say).

When the first trailer came out I wasn't that excited for it. It didn't feel like an EP, but after every trailer I have gotten more and more excited good work EA!👌

I hope people response to the ep can give a clear signal to EA that we don't want young adult party stuff in near future... We already have a party decoration and tiki bar pack in pre-order bonus, a luxury party stuff pack, a festive and spooky party stuff pack, a party in the wild game pack. The game now is just too focus on party and lack in other aspect like what Get to Work did. Adding DJ as a new active job like detective in the previous ep would be a world changer but they decide not to do so, making it more like a game pack instead of a proper ep.

Get Together is one of my favorite expansion packs for a reason! (⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠) The parties were much more fun and exciting! And the dance groups were so cool, I honestly wish I could jump in the game and join in. Seriously, Get Together is awesome! 😎

I for one am really excited for this pack I don't understand why people are upset it's not seasons or pets. Sims 4 is it's own game. We know season and pets are coming, so let's just be happy sims 4 is going to have more to offer than the usual stuff.

What a load of crap. We waited for Sims 4 with such anticipation, and all I see is rehashed Sims 2 and Sims 3 stuff. Specifically Sims 2. EA should have waited on releasing the Sims 3, because it could have had all of this, plus the open world and all the other things Sims 4 is missing. EA is crap. I look forward to the day when another, more intelligent and ambitious developer decides to make a life simulator and do it properly. Without releasing bits and pieces of a game that feels incomplete and is a retrospective of things they have already done. There is one in the works, and I hope the developers can see it to fruition. At least, if they can't, they won't release half a game just to get sales.

Yea yea, that's all nice and fun, but so much is missing, game is very boring compares to Sims3. And I am generally positive person... but where the heck are toddlers?? (no, won't drop it, can't stand 9 years old jumping out of bassinet), why do sims disappear from family tress and their pictures too? Like they never existed! Whats the point of having the whole generation of sims if their grandparents just disappear from the family tree? Why do parties start straight away and I cant just plan them? Why there is no information about sims death to the rest of family and friends, even when sim dies in a different room, the one who didnt see it is not even touched at all?? Why there isnt a spark between sims and attraction to some sims but nothing to others? Why no story progression?? Which is the worst part! Neighbors don't get married , don't have kids, they just walk around till they old and die! And they supposed to be intelligent? :( Oh please... Sims Makers, you are forgetting something, we used to love The Sims for being LIFE SIMULATION. What happened?
