This movie's concept reminds me of that anime film, Wolf Children. At it's core, Wolf Children is a straightforward story about a single mother struggling with two children. Those children just happen to be wolves. Son of Bigfoot is a story about a boy trying to connect with his absent father. Who just so happens to be Bigfoot. They just throw in those one weird details so people will watch the films. If they didn't, less people would be interested.
