I had to stop it after a minute, but I'd already seen the entire plot, side plots, character development. Aarggh. So aggravating.

Imho this gives away maybe the first 15-20 minutes of the movie and the main romance (which should be obvious from the minute they meet), but there's a lot more to it. There are shots from the "side plots", but it would be hard to guess all of that without having read the book.

I don't get why people STILL say stuff like that. Like we get it and movie trailer of rom coms or romance movies have always been like this and always will, yet there are always comments like yours. The story will never be important in rom coms/romance movies, because it's about the characters and the chemistry.

As someone who have read the book not once, not twice, but three times (yes, I really love it) I can assure you that there's so much more to the story than what this trailer shows, if they hadn't changed much the plot at least
