Since all we do expansion to expansion is the constant struggle against the cosmic evil, I think expansion 11.0 should be World of Warcraft-Vacation to Costa Rica. Dailies could include shuffleboard and beach volleyball matches. And big bad at the end could be an Magni saying we have to leave and save Azeroth again..

What I remembered with all these mentions of the elemental energies on the isles and Salandria's return is also the implication of Lornaa also returning (the draenei child that is counterpart of Salandria, and also is subjected to the same "bronze dragons try to attack her" event) Since we have seen Salandria being trained as a Blood Knight (who may very well act as guards for the Reliquiary :P), Lornaa should also be training to become a shaman, and an island filled with unstable elemental energies is the PERFECT set up to bring a shaman :D

I figure the challenger to Wrathion is Sabellian, who has been chilling on Outland with his brood and not causing chaos for others.

as someone who has played Enhancement Shaman since WotLK, all this talk of elements makes me incredibly happy. I just hope the expansion is actually good gameplay-wise

The clouds covering the dragon isles reminds me of the mists that hid pandaria.

I'm Calling it now! We gonna fight Galakrond via Caverns of Time after Murozond/Nordormu starts to fuck up with the timeline again, and to fix it we have to participate in that fight to ensure that Galakrond dies and the aspects get their powers from the Titans.

I want us to wake up on the shore and the watcher says "Jailer,Sword in Azeroth, and void lords? What are you talking about champion the dragon isles are being invaded by the minions of the old gods the greatest threat to Azeroth."

I'm just glad we didn't get a 4th year of Sylvanas cinematics. She's been the feature for the last three, yet Thrall hasn't even made an appearance in ONE. This cinematic was a fresh breath at least

On a surface level at least, this reminds me a lot of MoP. I've been out since the beginning of BFA, but this could be what gets me back in.

Something I need to get right is where Wyrnrest Temple fits in all of this. The Aspects used a titan facility to build their new home after losing the access to the Dragon Isles? Same spot where Galakrond died to watch none resurrect him? Every flight have a groove in Dragonblight.

Final raid tier sends us back in time to aid the Aspects against Galakrond. After defeating him, they send us back, hide the Isles and erase their own memories; so that they can't find the Isles early or recognise us when we meet them later. All to maintain the Timeline in which Galakrond is defeated. Funky time shenanigans, without adding any paradoxes or inconsistencies.

I love seeing the game taking a step back into a more classic style wow I hope it helps everyone get the enjoyment they used to

As someone that has mained a Elemental Shaman since vanilla WoW, I am stoked as hell to have a, potienally, elemental based story that includes the various dragonflights. I know we all have a bad taste in our mouth, as I have moved on to other MMORPG's in the meantime, but this is getting me excited. It is only making me excited to see heavy critics excited as well. Cheers for a better/brighter future for WoW. :)

One reason they would have hid away the Dragon Isles from Neltharion would be to keep him from reclaiming his army of Dracthyr. The lore we've been given on them says they were created by him to be the "ideal soldiers" as they could wield the magic of all five dragon flights. Had he returned after going mad and corrupted his army who knows how different things could have turned out.

I’ve always thought that the dragons losing their powers back in cata made sense if you think about what they say about the age of mortals I think their charge was to protect Azeroth from threats until the world(I.e the people of Azeroth) were around to protect her instead. And with the mortals helping out the dragons that came true and their power was no longer needed. Just my little head cannon probably a bunch of holes you could poke through it

Don't forget Odyn. He was highly against the forming of the Dragonflights to begin with. How will he react if the dragons are trying to rise to power again?

I think that people forget that Ebonhorn is like 10,000 years old and is much wiser than Wrathian, which means that he could become his mentor and help him reconnect with his black dragon legacy, and also Seballian is chilling in outland so it would be cool to see him interact with the others

It's interesting to me how before Shadowlands, we thought it was "nice to know the big bad right off the bat" while now it's "nice not to know the big bad, making it an adventure". Don't get me wrong, I completely agree, and did so back then as well, it's just curious how much Shadowlands has made us hunger for anything NOT Shadowlands.

I was very glad to hear of a return to the lore of the game that I got into 15 years ago. I will reserve judgement but I am.still playing and hopefully if I am still alive by 2023, I will be exploring and playing! I love the exploring side, I am excited about the dragons and Dragon Isles and I always loved the Titans. When I saw the Watcher I might have given a distinct whoop of joy! Thank you taking us back and giving us some kind of perspective.

This lore makes me feel like Hawkeye in Endgame: "Don't do that, don't try to give me hope."

I hope soooo much that they gonna include a bunch of videos in that expansion, a bit like in draenor I loved that so much. It helps to blend in the story and the game

What if…there is no big bad guy in this expension? What if they are going full vanilla? So the baddies are more raid based mixed in lesser big story’s. I think that could be more refreshing in a sense. And at the end of dragenflight something happens leading to the next expension where we will get some new bad guy who wants to change things up. I think that would be a great way to restart wow. Not making it to massive, but more small to see if the game can be fun again.

I always loved Uldaman, it was during a time that I was deeply interested in ancient Greek history and style and this dungeon was literally that.

If Azeroth absorbed the elelmental spirit, could that be what drove Galakrond insane? Some slavic stories say that the Strigoi vampires became so by losing their souls. So did azeroth absorbing the spirit aspect cause Galakrond to lose his soul and becoming a ravenous zombie dragon. And this could set up Galakrond's proto-drake cult could try to kill the world soul and use her power to bring back Galakrond.

The biggest misconception about the ending of Cataclysm is the Aspects’ “purpose.” It always seemed super clear to me that the Aspects and even Deathwing’s corruption were vital to ushering in the age of mortals in the true timeline. By defeating Deathwing along side the other Aspects mortals proved they were worthy and the baton was passed.

I cannot wait for this!

Hi Bellular big fan, I think the big bad will be either of two The black dragonflight welp left in outland in a cage OR Wathion. I say that because, during Legion Ebonhorn said he had to go after the dungeon run Netharion's Lair. I think either Wrathion finally showing his true corrupted colors or, that it maybe that welp in the Outlands finally broke free of its cage. Even Wrathion said himself, that he was aware of the outside world inside of his egg. Just food for thought =) I will continue to like your videos.

T&E cinematic deep dive showed that the dragons did know the general area but couldn't get to it because of the magic barrier.

Can't wait to fight the Big Bad Dragon at the end of the expansion pack.

What calls into question this expansion is why are dragons trying to come back, in Cataclysm to take down deathwing they had to basically sacrifice or use up all of the titan aspect power given to them to help the player characters defeat him which is why they handed the duty of protecting Azeroth to us. Which if you then go to legion and do the Azurewing storyline you find out sacrificing that power made it so that dragons aren't able to bear eggs anymore so it just weird that there trying to become relevant again unless this is gonna be a Blizzard retcon again.

I think it's pretty much now or never for Murozond - my guess is he will end up being the final boss. There are so many directions this could take and potential for some awesome throw backs to the End Times dungeons from Cataclysm. This would also be perfect time to flare up the nostalgia engines to get people ready for Cataclysm Classic lol.

My theory is that since dragons came from the elements, there is a major void tie to them that we don't know about, occurring before the titan blessings. It maybe something like, the curse of flesh affected the elementals which created the proto drakes. Nozdormu wouldn't know/see this since it was before he was a thing, when he finds out he actually comes from the old gods, that's what breaks him. What do you think will break Nozdormu?

I like it. That's what WoW should be about - reminds me of Pandaria and they did the best job ever then, to tell us ingame what Pandaria is all about. A great WoW story, involving old gods, trolls, titans, war, and a great adventure. I would love if WoW returns to that type of grounded expansion of the lore and narrative. Yet with Azeroth "waking up" which seems to be a major factor in the current narrative, shadowlands lore will return. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. So we will have this huge bag of knowledge, we will have fun to use in future speculations - but it also feels rather strange. I think they build Khad'gar to be the one that observed everything and will carry all knowledge and worries on his shoulders to then connect the future plot with what transpired in the Shadowlands. But that once again makes the player character feel to empty, the narrative of "maw walker" etc. so void. Maybe it's one of the better chances to get out of this mess and will give them all the time to once again sort their lore out... but it stings. However: If these little journeys we take on now are fun, the (end-)game systems get more inclusive to more players... Yeah let's fucking go! I love these old stories and will keep the "duh, we knew it" out for youtube comments like this.

The wheel on the titan facility reminds me of Lost and the way they could move the island. That would be cool!!

That's good theory about the Dragon Isles shifting location... in Lost, the island is moved via a mystical wheel, and in the wow cinematic we see the guardian spinning the dial. Interestingly enough, the island on Lost was locked away, kept evil stowed away, the primals in WoW are locked away in the Dragon Isles.

I'd really like to see the Titans unified. Sargeras was deceived by a lie. Would be beyond epic to see them come to the aid of Azeroth and lay down some Titanic smackdown

The Lore will already be better if they make sure a 10.1, 10.2 AND 10.3 occur. It's honestly really bad that to this day WOW hasn't been consistent with their patches. Correct me if I'm wrong but we haven't had a .4 either since MOP. And also it would help if they didn't put very important information in random books in some hidden corner of the zone. Make it a quest, make some sort of library full of information the player can find and re-visit easily but just don't be lazy about it.

I'm wondering how this fits in after the events of the Dragon Soul and subsequent weakening of the flights. I'm looking for a better resolution to all of those storylines, though, and I'd like to see the blues rebuild after Nelth's utter obliteration of Malygos and their emotionally painful struggles in Legion. I'm guessing the plot armor here is that they are returning to a land full of their own history, power, and -- most importantly -- titan tech with at least one of the old keepers of that tech still functioning. I'd also like to see the black flight deal with and close out the fact that Thrall had to step in as a fake aspect during the Dragon Soul raid. I don't think this will be a retcon -- I think this will be a good progression for a bunch of loose ends.

I do like how this gives more insight to what Nel was like instead of Deathwing. Helps show just how much he lost and much his corruption and madness cost him.

When the Cinematic said "10.000 Years ago" and I heard that female voice, my Night Elf fixated mind instantly went "OMG AZSHARA!!!!" before I remember that it would more likely be about Dragons. :P Edit: Caverns of Time, Children Week: I'm pretty sure the Dragons also tried to attack the Draenei-Girl (Alliance Version) since I remember that but never Played the Horde-Version.

Right now, I'm mostly seeing WoW's development team the way you see a past abuser. They've finished violating us and our trust this go around, and now they're trying to be all nice and inviting, trying to win us back. I'm waiting for the inevitable "fist in the face" where they screw up again, and everything goes to crap.

there's something i AM very intrigued by in terms of the overall story progression of WoW the last few years as someone who doesn't play but likes to keep up with the story. You have the weird Warlords Iron Horde stuff, you have that Gul'dan show up and help kick of Legion and the gang kicking down their door to get Sargeras grounded by the Titans. Following on from that, with the world stabbed, there's this sorta arms race for the azerite and all the stuff with Sylvanas (ill be honest, BfA is a MAJOR blind spot for me timeline wise) until uh, SURPRISE ITS THE OLD ONES, TENTACLES OOOOO and then that's just... like a weekend. Then there's the cool cutscene of "ill set you all free" outta leftfield and Shadowlands which is ANOTHER blind spot timeline wise for me but i really don't care to remedy that. What is interesting to me is that all the expansions, from one way to another, have lead into each other pretty naturally, there's a cause and effect. Iron Horde stuff -> Gul'dan helps Legion -> Big Sword -> Arms Race for magic rock with a brief sidequest to casually kill one of the most hyped up enemies in the lore -> sylvanas and shadowlands. So, given what im assuming the popular consensus is, of Galakron being the big bad, im wondering if the whole "the gang goes to the afterlife" expansion prior, if that's gonna have brought Galakron back somehow. I'm kinda curious tbh

Regarding the quests with Salandria. Has anyone asked in an interview if the Draenei orphan, Dornaa, will have her own quest chain for the Alliance? They both have the same destiny but have different ideas about dragons when you give them the toy dragon. Dornaa wants to be friends with a real dragon, Salandria wants to own one. It would be cool if their destinies were tied together.

I find it interesting that the dragon isles are hidden when the big titan glowy orb is split and everything appears to be powered down. From the cinematic I feel it's implied that the isles are hidden by a sort of titan cloaking device but I can assume something like that would need to be powered up to function. Here It's the opposite and as if the dragon isles are naturally hidden by something else and the titan stuff dispels that. I doubt this has any lore implications and I'm reading too far into it and is really just a result of making a cinematic look cool. Fun to think about though.

What about Tyr? He was supposedly buried in Tirisfal, but in the cinematic we see him on the throne?

Another possibility for the big bad is Chromatus, the one true Twilight Drgaon having the power of all five flight (basically DnD's Tiamat) Thrall helped the Red, Green, Blue and Bronze flights defeat Chromatus but were only able to seal him into an arcane prison and with the twilight dragons being hinted to return in BfA they could stage a jail break to get back a new leader in Chormatus that thematically would be a perfect final raid boss for this expansion.

What I haven’t seen in any videos yet and I don’t know if I‘m the only one who is interested in this… but did you notice that it’s not the machine powering up the signal / stone in Tyrshold but it’s the stone that powers up the machine, and with the titan machine powering up the clouds vanish, the water flows etc. So… why? What needs to be powered in the Dragon Isles?

I have a theory that the bronze/infinite flight will be the main antagonists and the xpac will end with us going back in time to Azeroth before the sundering happened, taking us into the next xpac where we are on the giant kalimdor from 1000 years ago

I just find it amazing we are going back to Uldaman.

I'm still a fan of the Titans ending up being nefarious with their absolute Order and Azeroth being subjugated by them. Would be interesting to see some more ancient Titan things. Perhaps with Azeroth awakening we learn more about what the Pantheon did to her and inevitably push to free her from any and all outside forces. This could lead to the keepers being split between those devoted to Azeroth and those who blindly follow the Titans will. With the Titans machinery gone/disabled the dragons will be Azeroth's main protectors regaining the power of the Aspects from Azeroth herself.

Regarding to Old Gods - one lesser is still alive. One major is possibly not dead but only imprisoned or at least part of it is imprisoned in certain dagger. And that big bronze dragon from Dragonflight trailer at 1:56 here starts to have blackened skin - maybe it's only age, maybe it's just how it looks like. Or maybe it's sign of process that has already started. But then again Alexstrasza has similar markings, so maybe it's indeed just sign of old age.
