My name is Karen Roy and I’m a T10 paraplegic from being shot in the back in an armed robbery. This is the being of a series on how I live my life.

I became a paraplegic at 67 years old after being assaulted by a patient when working as a RN in a Emergency Dept.. I'm okay with my situation and thankful as there are many folks are going through more difficult trials then I. I wish you well.

I am so sorry to hear about your injury! I have been paralyzed for almost 34 years and I have adjusted well, but it took a while. I do think that when you get injured when you are older the adjustment can be difficult.

It has been 25 years for me. I have two boys 20 and 13. We have very similar personalities so thank you for your videos. After so many years, it is not something you think of much. It is good to have some refreshes.

They did, the shooter was sentenced with. 248 years in Angola.

@@karenroy3750 Louisiana is currently letting out these violent offenders with clemency then parole. They've even granted 2 from death row at Angola. All they have to do is take a few programs. It's very sad.
