I was not prepared to make those kind of decisions on the day we filmed, but we finally got somewhere. Going over layouts, colors, cabinets, just everything to get the van done quickly but correctly.

I have this layout in my van built by Van Haus with some minor tweaks. In my build, forward of the passenger side dinette seat, I have a toilet cabinet with a shower pan/shower. The shower curtain connects to the ceiling. The top of the shower base cabinet has a cushion on top and is level with the passenger side dinette cushion, so that it makes one big lounging spot. I have cabinets on both sides of the bed. Remember, you're sleeping north/south so, there's plenty of room in the middle between the upper cabinets to get your freak on. :) The best part of sleeping north/south is not having to climb over a partner getting in or out of bed. My 30 gallon water tank and battery bank are right behind the dinette bulk head running east/west directly over the rear axle. I think this is a better weight distribution then putting these item aft of the wheel wells. Another good tweak idea to this layout is to match the dinette cushion thickness to the mattress thickness. This way you can leave the end section of the mattress at home and use the dinette cushions to make up the other section of bed. This way you don't have to carry around the other section of mattress. When you have the bed put away and you're hanging out at the dinette, it's good to be able to put the dog up on the bed. This is harder to do when both sections of the mattress are stacked plus it's easier to get things in and out of the overhead cabinets when you don't have to climb over both mattress sections. You can't go wrong with black uppers and lowers mixed with bamboo in my opinion! Adding orange accents could be super cool, keen to see it!

Would any one of you have some thoughts on a front lounge? I like having a window acrfrom the sliding door. I haven't decided on a bench seat facing forward with a table or just a small cabinet.

I like Earth tones ... city folk vs country folk ... If too weird of a van pulls up next to mine, I will avoid them and think it is not cool. just sayin
