This is a bit sad because the catacombs in Paris were built in I think the 1700s because the cemeteries were getting too full and it was affecting the water supply. So the city built an underground tunnel system. The bones were used to support the walls and the workers made some very beautiful art using the bones. There is poetry written on the walls as you walk through. It is an incredibly respectful way to honor these people who have not been named. This place is not haunted, it's not scary, it is just peaceful and a place of respect.

it's a known fact that when the underground was being built they kept having to change routes due to hitting plague pits. There's even one part of the underground where a pit is literally the other side of the tunnel wall.

I feel like people don’t understand how many of these there are around the world. Everywhere that the plague took place probably has these pits. Paris has its own massive system of catacombs. Even Washington Square Park in NYC has a ton of bodies from the Revolutionary War buried under it.

We all praise Shane for his absolute lack of fear in ghosts but for me, Ryan is the braver one. Shane is a hardcore skeptic. Ryan still does everything Shane does even after being terrified of ghosts. I will never do that if I were in his position.

I worked in a scare maze for a few years and a lot of staff claimed to have seen things, I mean I heard some freaky noises myself but honestly I think the whole horror factor of the area just plays with your mind. Hell sometimes in between guests turning up we'd nap perfectly fine in those places

I think, honestly, if they didn’t have cameras, they would’ve caught more things. I heard a theory that ghosts might not appear while recorded because of the mixing frequencies. Also they might not want to show themselves to the whole world.

This is just an excuse for ghost hunters who, at best, catch a piece of dust on the lens or watch the most unstable piece of furniture shift None of them have ever caught a straight up ghost on camera, it is always some weird obscure thing in the background that can easily be something else for a reason. To say it's because they dont want to show themselves to the world or that they can detect "frequencies" is just an excuse, considering that, if ghosts were real, it stands to reason they predate technology uses to capture evidence of them

Fun Fact: The US has used islands and other "unmarked grave" sites like in New York as mass graves for years. They use it for unclaimed homeless victims and jane/john doe's and have been doing so for decades. It is not a new thing. Calm down.

Until recently it wasn’t exactly ‘Mass graves.’ It was basically just for people who hadn’t been claimed by a family, roughly 25 people every week. Now that the number has been rapidly increasing, they’re burying a lot more people, and they’re burying many of them in the same holes, which is why they’re “mass graves.” The dead are no longer receiving gravestones, but they are still being placed into coffins with their names marked on them just in case the graves ever need to be retrieved. It’s not quite as bad as the mass graves with piles of unmarked bodies.
