As an iphone user for soooo long.. I’m ready to move on and give the next Galaxy z fold 4 a try.. I loved the Galaxy z fold 3 when I got to play with it and I just hope Samsung includes the S-pen on their next z fold 4..

It's March of 2022 and soooo many people (especially Apple users) are blown away by it when they realize I'm using it. I'm more than willing to show them it's capabilities. The cover display is exactly what it is, but when I open up 4 simultaneously running screens and then drag a UKposts video toward the middle and expand it, make it larger and move it across the screen while I'm shopping, checking social media and ordering delivery. Did you know that you can play stadia while you're doing this? Yeah! This phone is Stealth Bomber and when people realize it's there, they either already got one or know they messed up by not getting one. It's an absolute beast and anyone who has one knows that look people have when they see you open it up. Good luck using an iPhone as a conversation starter....

Your Z-Fold 3 reviews have been spot-on and you've covered a lot of its strengths and weaknesses. I am really enjoying the Fold 3 but lately have been experiencing horrifically bad lag at times but a factory reset might help. The camera is okay and battery life is passable, but I hardly use the main display which defeats the purpose of having a Fold. The cover display lets me do nearly every task so well I literally forget to use the main display. For these reasons I may switch to the S22 Ultra.

As someone who owns a Z Fold 3 since launch, I can attest to the durability of the device as I have never put a case on it and it still looks like new. The hinge is still as stiff as it was on day 1. Yes the crease is there, yes you can see it, yes you can feel it. Is it a deal breaker? No. For me, battery life has been a non issue and I only let the phone charge up to 85% to protect the battery. The charging speeds could be better but I can understand Samsung wanting to play it safe on a folding device. The outer display is perfect for one handed use even if it feels skinnier at first. It just fits well in one hand, reminiscent of a TV remote. The cameras are great but nothing groundbreaking. They are true and tried sensors that performs well. This device is NOT for everyone though. There is a learning curve, even if you're coming from another Samsung device. My biggest gripe is the lack of native DeX support akin to their Tab S tablets while using the inner display.

I've had mine for 3 months now and I love, not had any issues with the hardware. Software has had a few issues but that's down to apps not being fully optimized properly yet. I wanted to wait until I was confident the fold was worth the high price tag and the 3 was the one for me. The battery is no worse than my last phone so I I don't find the battery bad, I'd have liked a few hundred mah more but it's good enough. Great video

Great, Comprehensive Review as always. So I got this for 512GB off eBay for $1500 last October and it came with the Stylus Pen and Samsung Flip Cover(which I'm not a fan of as the case doesn't have a magnet and flaps open and closed), and the Spigen Slim Armour Pro Case, so even though it is still the most I've paid(I got the Lenovo Yoga 9i for less) and it's definitely not a phone that I'd recommend to everyone, it is still the most FUN I've had with a phone in a LONG time and there is something so AWESOME about being able to fold/unfold and people want to know what phone it is and it is definitely a Conversation Starter. And using split screen or multi-window makes me more productive and able to mult-task and get more done simultaneously. Also using Flex Mode and not having to have a stand is wonderful as well too. I also got the VRS Fold 3 Terraguard Case as well as the case you have here to put the Stylus Pen on the side but it sticks out and is kind of obstrusive in my opinion so I am thinking about getting the VRS Terraguard Case that has the Stylus Pen slot on the hinge. And yes the cameras aren't the best but at the end of the day this is the most fun I've had with a phone for a long time and I don't think I will be able to go back to a regular slab phone again.

I have the 2nd gen right now about to get the 3rd and I'm pretty excited for it. I dropped around $75 on a case that came with the pen and stores it, but I agree it should just come standard with the phone. I love my fold2 so I'm excited to see the small differences. I only switched bc I'm switching carriers and it's the best option for me to get out of the contract and save $, but yay! New (slightly used) phone! Lol

I love mine. I peeled the inner protective layer off 1 month ago and no problem. The Dex feature makes this a computer using the outside screen as a mouse!

I just love the fold z3. Nothing in this world is perfect, we as humans we are never satisfied . This is a good phone and never going back to old smart ones. Yes battery is how you use your phone, the crease isn't a problem. I absolutely love the z fold 3.

Its been 6 months for me too. It is indeed built like a tank. I am using Aramid case and wouldn't use any other case. It is sleek and overall it is fantastic. Only issue since beginning was the typing on large screen, but I use voice instead of type so guess that is the future. Apart from typing, there is nothing else a conventional phones can be better over this. Fantastic job Samsung. I dropped my phone once but put my feet instinctively and it hit my shoe and slid across the hard floor on a Starbucks. Nothing, not a single scratch or anything. The Aramid case is indeed highly functional and the phone is the future. Feels small in pocket as well. Weight can be improved but later generations might address this. Overall, the weight, the form factor(typing on large screen), and crease are the only ones that seem to be concerning at first but they are very tiny complaints and don't matter at on on daily usage.

I'm interested in the dex experience. You seem to be able to run it on your 21:9 ultra wide monitor without black bars. Is this a specific feature of the fold? I recently tested a S21 FE with my Type C docking station and Samsung C34J791 ultra wide connected to it (3440x1440). The S21 FE only allowed output of 1080p though?

Honestly I've had my z fold 2 for a year now and I bought it used. For 800 it was too good of a deal. The durability has been great and it's on the latest software. I only use a thin plastic case to protect it and with the number of times Ive dropped it the device is durable. I'm really happy I didn't get the fold 3 only for the fact that the experience without the s pen is too similar.

I traded it in for the S22 ultra reasons being the great deals samsung offered for trade. Battery life is ok, camera ok, love the big screen of the Fold it is hard to go back! I have had my fold 3 since release. I LOVE it, and just like love it isn't perfect. The battery could be better and it really needs dust resistance. I just sent my back to samsung for a repair. something got thru the hinge and behind the screen tehn blacked out a circle of pixels. Samsung was really good about it though. The only thing that sucks is that I had to send my fold back and am now using a moto edge while I wait for my fold to return. Going back to a flat, non folding phone, I miss my fold even more faults and all. it should be back in 4 or 5 more days!! There is nothing like being able to fold a phone in half. I also love how narrow it is when folded. feels great in the hand!

I use a note 9 and my main point for a phone is DISPLAY. Although many talk about there use cases in these comments and how they focus on the initial covrr slab rather then the tablet. My use case for my phone has always been reading and content consumption. The S pen lose is hard for me in a "conventional" storage method. I know they couldn't fit it the chassis, but its growing pains. I know the ultra 22 "note" has the spen BUT I agree with you that the true note should/is the fold and the phone should come with the spen. Will see if i get it.

went from mate 20 to 11pro to fe20 to fold 3. its so next level i cant see myself going back to a regular phone

I'd love to know what cases have proven to be good for the long haul. I read about a lot of cases damaging the screen protectors that come on the phone. I'd love a clear case that doesn't damage the phone. I don't need a ton of protection from drops, just wanna show off the color I got.

I have 1 but I had to repair it since the crease turned into a white line :( ..scared to keep it now... hope it doesn't happen again... BTW great review..I subbed

I'm on my second replacement zfold 3. I dropped it more times than any other phone. (Life happened) but the screens didn't crack. Thr back panel cracked that was it. Paid $300 for replacement

The zfold3 is hands down the best phone to ever come on the market. The crease hasn't even after 8 months become more defined. Cracked or cloudy. The resolution is amazing on both the front screen and main screen. So real it looks fake. I love that it came with screen protectors on it already. I will say finding a case that worked was trial and error but I ended up finding one. The case is pretty big but the phone is also extremely large so it bense. Typing on the big screen Is amazing. It's like typing on a mini but large qwerty keyboard. the looks I get when I fold the phone open or closed is hilarious. So many people i know have ended up switching to the zfold3. Having the ability to use the front screen like a regular phone. And then open it up to a mini tablet is awesome. Never experienced anything like it. As far as gaming goes. It's hands down the best mobile gaming device I've ever used. I dont think there will ever be a phone to compete with the zfold3s ability to process and play games. I loved the s22 ultra and almost got it for personal. Instead I have it as a work phone and I must say I love that just as much. Moral of the story. Samsung is going to slowly take over the phone market. Iphone will be phased out. Samsung just knows how to build solid phones that actually get upgraded each model rather than a camera lense being added or false claims of hardware/software updates. I will always choose samsung over iPhone and haven't looked bsck since the iPhone 6s+ never will I go back to iPhone. Samsung is elite.

owned the fold 2 and now the fold 3. my fold 2 developed stress marks in the curv around 10 month in. samsung replaced it free of charge. my phone company lets you replace a phone every 12 month and gets rid if the last 12 month of pay in return of locking in for a nother 24month. and my z fold 2 managed 12 month ok. the screen degraded but i got a free new one. the usb c started to not charge at times. my z fold 3 is now past 7month. unlike the old screen cover the new cover are good enough to use. the screen cover started developing stress marks in the 6month period. yet to lift the cover to see if the screen itself has stress marks lile the old z fold 2. i work as a service technician and once in a while i do cunstruction. i am outside in the snow/rain/sun taking pictures i do all of my work related note taking on this phone. a lot of my work tools are conected to the phone. my phone managed arouns 5-15% battery afther a day of work so when i drive home i got the samsung 45w 12v car charger. gets the phone to around 60-80% charge when i get home. at night i charge the phone from 5-50% to full for the next day. i use the phone for games, work, gps, photos, banking and alarm. i cant recomend the fold for a 2 year use but the one year mark it can manage.

I m using this phone. I pre ordered. Absolutely enjoying and no complaints. Improved my productivity. Wish front screen is responsive to s pen. Rest no problem. Speakers are brilliant. It is meant for work productivity and media consumption.

Going to wait till Z Fold 4 comes out to get one. I've held a couple recently in store and like the narrow feel. Hopefully some of the issues are resolved in the next edition. Especially the S Pen use between devices and on front screen.

Haha you upload this video right on time! My own fold3 is going to be delivered to me by tmr, got a great deal as the s22u is dropping and fold3 is around half year old now. Also i ordered the samsung fold3 aramid cover as well! Hopefully it will be as good as prople mentioned.

4:04 I wish you would have elaborated more on the hinge getting sand in there. I’m considering this phone, however I am in construction, and dirt and dust is a daily nuisance. Can you say whether or not a Otterbox case will prevent the hinge getting dirty? Also, has there been any build up of debris in the crease on the screen? That looks like a hot spot for failure.

Just picked this phone up yesterday...and I'm loving it! Going to keep my s20 ultra as a storage phone for all my videos and songs since I have a 500g sd card.

Mine is coming soon. Went to my store, and the salesman didn't want to sell me the Z Fold 3. He kept guiding me to 22 ultra or another premium non-folding phone. He told me to do my research and come back. He didn't even push the mini-fold. I had to leave there and buy it at another non-corporate Verizon store. Well, watched videos and read a lot. I think I made a good choice. The salesman of the first store not so much.

My fold 3 has replaced my kindle, tablet, and desktop pc. Only extra bit of hardware I now need is my portable monitor. Love playing DayZ and Rust with GeForce Now.

Im playing Openmw 0.47 on it, with hd texture packs, 10x distant land view, and 150+ mods....fps is 30+. This phone is a beast...feels just as strong as my gaming pc...all this on battery saving. My only complaint is the battery. Somehow it feels smaller than it relly is, or than on my note 10, which has a 4300, but still manages to last longer while playing.

Mmm really want one, but I'm not going to lie, it"s out of my price range 😆. I'm excited to see what they do with the Fold 4, but if I'm going to spend that much for a phone I would hate for a newer model to be released next year.

I've had mine for about 4 months. There must have been some update recently because now I have two problems. I'd really appreciate help. One is a frequent (every minute or so when playing youtube vid but also at other times) freezing of the screen with "Google smart lock and my main email address" The message disappears if I touch the screen. I've had gone to the Smart Lock settings and made the changes suggested with no change. I've made sure I have no unread emails but no effect. The other change which the phone has made is that I can no longer rotate in full screen, for example with youtube. I have gone to the setting and made sure the correct option is checked for youtube. Any suggestions? I'm up to doing a factory reset next.

This is the perfect phone for me, this or the galaxy s21 fe. I personally really like tall and skinny phones, and the folded mode on this fits what I like, and rather than getting another device like a tablet, I can just unfold it. It's my wants, likes and needs combined into one. The s21 fe is my second choice because of the price. The specs are good, the build quality is good and it doesn't miss out on other features that the higher priced s series phones have.

Moved on from the fold2 won't be going back to a folding phone. Causes me too much anxiety. Always cleaning it making sure I don't get any dirt on it. I opened it 1-2 a month. I figured I'd open it all the time since I'm an IT admin. Nope. Switched to the s22 ultra, and I don't regret it.

I dropped it 3 times feom around 0.5 - 1 meter. No damage....also this is a personal record as i dont usually drop my phone...ever....but the fold 3 is like a soap. A proper case is a must unfortunately.

There are so many inexpensive z fold cases available online. You may be amaze how creative the designs for the S Pen holder. I did not get the S Pen. I learned my lesson having used the Note 9, Note 10 and Note 20 Ultra. No S Pen for me.

Just picked this up for $1200 on a deal from the Samsung website, also got free Samsung buds, free case, free 15w wireless charger and the 25w super charger for free. I'm glad I watched your videos before I decided. I don't think I would of payed full price for this. The Z Fold3 works great for Spotify users. I listen to podcasts all day while I work, The Note 10 just wasn't holding up for the battery, So the battery hasn't been an issue for me for the Z Fold. Disappointing on no S-Pen holster. Other than that the phone has been amazing! Try to get this one on a deal!

Had this phone for six months now and find typing really irritating on the front screen. Fed up of hitting the wrong key. Dropped it without a case twice now from low heights while sat down. Aluminium is all scratched and paint came off and front screen cracked top and bottom. Only thing it is good for is it fits in your pocket easier than slab phones and watching films on. Find myself just leaving it at home now which is a bonus as my screen time is around 45 mins a day so I am not a slave to my phone anymore.

If you don't wanna drop too much on a fold. Then get a fold 1 on Swappa. I got mine for $325 and it's been a fantastic phone so far. It's too bad that I like it cause now I can't go back to a regular phone and when it's time to upgrade it's gonna hurt the wallet ...

So basically I live somewhere that internet is garbage and service is ok at best, but after finally upgrading my laptop to something similar that I had for work I realized that my cell phone and even tablet are dinos in comparison. I am finally ready to upgrade my phone and since I upgrade every like 5 years I don't mind dropping a pretty penny on a new one, but I had some stipulations. I don't want to have to have a tablet, laptop and cell phone if they are all going to work best at home. I don't want to pay for a line for my tablet when I could upgrade my phone and have a similar experience on my phone. But while at work I need to be able to make design fixes and social media/marketing updates for my personal business (which is not frowned upon where I work, we all support each others other endeavors). everything about this phone is what I am looking for even pushing into the not normal use, these are things I really need it to have for this price range. I’ve always been interested in the Z Fold series, but I don’t think I could ever make the switch from iPhone. Apple Pay lowers your available bank balance immediately so you can’t forget that you’ve spent money and spend too much. Samsung Pay waits 3-5 working days to lower the available bank balance and actual bank balance at the same time, so it’s easy to forget that you’ve spent money and overspend. I also write a lot, and the ability to make a quick edit to my writing on my phone and have that edit immediately available on my MacBook is something I couldn’t move away from.

The only phone I've found that's better for multitasking has been my Surface Duo 2. They're both very solid phones, IMO. I personally prefer the Duo since I multi-task a lot (it also makes a natural DS emulator) but for most people, I'd recommend the Z Fold 3.

Hi, has anyone here got a problem with the screen? I got my fold 3 about 1 month ago, everything has been wonderful until today when i just noticed something they called "dead or stuck pixel" on the main screen, just on the line of the crease (sorry i am not a tech person so i have no idea to tell if that is a dead or a stuck pixel. It is to my eyes like a leakage of lights with different colors in that small densed spot). Now the thing is, if I go for a replacement, i feel unsure if this problem ever comes again with the new phone. And we know how pricey this phone is ....

It took me a few months before I got convinced to get the GF3; I've had it for a little over a month now with a free S-Pen and I have no regrets with the purchase. The battery is my main issue because I find that I only have enough to keep it on once I get home from work (with 5g on all day) but other than that, everything has been perfect. I still use my S21 Ultra for photos because it does a slightly better job but if I only had a GF3, I think the camera wouldn't be an issue either. My biggest surprise is this: I never realized how much I missed typing with one hand until I got the GF3. Like you, I find myself using the outer screen more than I thought I would. Some people would argue it's too skinny, but it's perfect for one-handed operation and I love it.

the camera didnt work well in night mode for me i feel a 3rd party app makes it more high quality like an iphone and does anybody know where to find a good third party app for bluetooth audio and headphone out and i wouldnt have bought it if i knew the audio was that bad but its software related so i hope they get to it quick cuz its a keeperother than that
