We traveled to Los Angeles California a few weeks ago to meet Richard Browning from Gravity Industries. He's built a 1000hp jet suit that allows you to fly around like Iron Man. We got to try it last video, but in this video, stick around for an in depth interview that explains how the jet suit works. I'm studying applied mathematics in a uni, and on the side I'm already a software engineer and I'm relearning a bit of electrotechnics and basic engineering. The year is 2123 and you have just picked up a jankey looking BoostSuit240 of craigslist for $120. after fiddling with it in your garage for a few hours and DIYing a fuel system into it you fly down to the local flying spot to meet with your buddy. its a bit slow, topping out at 178mph and one of the engines likes to stall sometimes but for the price what can you expect?

Wouldn't be that hard really. Just have small mounted cameras on the front that transmit to an inner LED HUD within the mask, similar to how the HTC Vive/Index works with its front mounted cameras that allow you to view your real-life surroundings from within the headset.

I started watching hacksmith 3 years ago, been watching his videos ever since, I’ve always wanted to be as smart as these guys, I would trade anything to learn how to do this. I've been developing a racing quadcopter for years. Finally just working out the ergonomics and styling. Problem, because I have no style. It evolved from a coaxial just like yours Its super reassuring you came up with the same motors and blades. I've got about $10k into models/testing and $4.8k more to go. Doing something fun is expensive. At least you guys have a roi planned. Thanks for your videos

For the helmet you can do a 3D virtual setup, with cams. Then project the view ahead through the 3D virtual, while adding in anything else that's desirable as a viewport into the 3D virtual screen. That can be customized to any degree, since the projections are all virtual. Separate data stuffs, like GPS positioning, speed/altitude in graphical bars. Hindview on lower part of the screen. Activation sequences by testing the eye position, with a (single eye) blink and/or trigger on either hand. Once they get it into a true suit, you can even do automated landing.

You guys should someday combine the whole suit: propulsor, laser beam and helmet (though i know the propulsor it's not yours) and give showcase of all it's power and functions. And it would also be cool to watch how it assembles on your body (plus legs and body)
