I really hope this storyline is an actual consideration of if the Avengers didn’t exist and not just totally random fan service changes like most What If? stories. Like when Hank Pym was killed in AoU the timeline Wolverine and Invisible Woman return to isn’t one you can look at and consider the changes that took place.

I am having trouble hearing Jason Aaron. That mic had way too much echo.

I think on a story bases there are too many references and connections to many comics of the past to tell this story properly. As from what I gathered your talking about using hundreds of stories into this one, that's a lot to use in a story centered around memories vs reality. You only need to focus on Blade's memories vs the world he walks, as having too many call backs to past comics only serves to complicate the story. Like: >Blade remembers Thor being level headed, jolly, clean shaven and knows when he should switch to water. In this world Thor is deeply depressed over his lack of new glory opportunities and an exile of Asgard, he's quite the violent drunk that nine times out of ten requires a super powered team, Stark God Buster or Odin to subdue and get him throw him into a Stark Drunk Tank for gods and super powered beings. >Stark is a Reverend and Straight Edged, who hates alcohol and drunks, who's also not a playboy and married to Pepper. In this world he created the God Buster to deal with a drunk Thor. Which is opposite to what Blade remembers. >In this reality Rogers is a jerk and seeks glory by defeating enemies solo, the reason Rogers doesn't get on with Thor is they battle for the title "Guardian of Earth", while, as a byproduct of beating an enemy, he nearly killing Tony (before Iron Man was born causing his need for the magnet in his chest), which again, is not as Blade remembers. >Hawkeye went down a dark path and became an assassin and thief teaming up with Black Widow, the call to change sides wasn't heeded. It's simple and both have back stories to explore: >Why is there no more glory for Thor? >Why is Thor seeking to always be in a drunk state? >Why is Tony a Reverend? What made him take that vow? >Why is Tony Straight Edge and a hater of alcohol? The alcohol also explains why Tony and Thor never got along in this reality, thus never forming the Avengers of this reality. >Why didn't Hawkeye and Black Widow not change sides?

I’m looking more forward to the tie ins. Aaron’s Avengers run has been less than mediocre. The BC Avengers has been dragged out for years now. Plus everyone is sick of the Phoenix force. His Thor run was awful. He turned the God of Thunder into a jobber that got beat up by everyone. The fans did not take that lightly. He has been getting destroyed on the forum boards.
