Then people start likeing him. The story continues. In tell Your Friends, Weeknd hates the deal and trys burying it and shoots lucifer. In The Hills he drives home after shooting Lucifer but the devil doesn't play games and almost kills Weeknd in a car crash. Weeknd stumbles to his house bedroom where he finds lucifer on his bed with an apple. The story continues in starboy. like if you want me to explain that to you aswell.

The music video has a deep message. When the Weeknd was singing and pouring his heart out on stage, no one showed appreciation towards him nor did they praise him. A girl even threw her drink at him and a man threw his zippo lighter at him, causing the Weeknd to catch on fire. It wasn't till he catches on fire did people start dancing in the club. Instead of trying to help him, they began laughing at his pain. The moral of the music video is that people are keen to take joy in seeing others getting hurt instead of applauding others or congratulating them for their success and talents. People often overlook talent and instead they take pleasure in seeing others experience misery in order to make themselves feel better. The man who threw the lighter symbolizes Satan and that concept can be discussed in "Tell Your Friends" and in "The Hills" where I posted a comment on those videos.
