I really wanna know what pains he’s gone through. He tries to communicate them through his lyrics and music, and I can’t help but feel as though his life is outta place. He deserves to feel right.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this album has no bad songs. I know a lot of people like to say that with their favorite artists, but being a weeknd fan I’ll admit his other projects all have at least a couple duds on them. HOWEVER. This is something special. Every track is filled to the brim with finely crafted production and the most charming elements, whether it be synths, vocal work, or catchy melodies. And regardless of your taste in music, I’m convinced everyone is bound to find at least one track on this record that they can enjoy.

I can't help but feel all of his songs are a cry for help and most of us oblivious to the literal intent behind his lyrics. He already knows all the money and fame and overindulgence aren't the most important things--they're just aspects that are glorified. We're just as impressionable as he was, he's telling us how his personal truth has changed is a profound way. I always get the mental image of Abel wilding out on stage, pouring his heart out to his babies through some heartbreaking lyrics, and we completely miss the point and cheer on his misery, and continue idolizing the material things that ensure a life of suffering. GOd damn I love his special brand of melancholy

This album is perfect just perfect.

He's definitely the modern day Michael Jackson. Although the productions are completely different theres a common foundation of aggressiveness, detail, funk and punch, that connects with so many people. They both did massive pop-hits as well as soulful rnb ballads, and yet they continue to stay mystical while staying on top. Oh yeah, and then theres his voice of course.
