Ya'll it's 3 am and i finished this movie at around 12:30 a.m and i am ugly crying in my bed and just watching edits and amvs and i still can't get enough. This movie is just something else. Something i cant put into words. It has done something to my heart that nothing ever has. And I am just speechless, so many thoughts running through my mind and i still cant process them. I guess that's what an impact of one of the most beautiful movies in the world feels like. And i am just fucking grateful that the movie had a good ending coz god forbid if the movie would ended in any other way than it did, Idk.. I would have cried myself to death or some shit. Like after all the pain and longing and suffering that they both went through, I just couldn't bear the thought of them not ending up together. Also Makato Shinkai.. Gawwddd I cant even express the amnt of love and respect that I have for this man. Ok bye 😭✋

The meteor scene always gives me chills and close to tears. Everything is up to this point a portrait of beauty and suddenly it becomes the definition of cosmic horror without losing anything of its gorgeousness.

to be honest no one would believe that this masterpiece of an anime was made in 2016 with such amazing visuals!

This movie is 5 years old and in a few months it will be 6, I can't believe how quickly time passes and how well this movie has aged, no matter how many times I see makoto shinkai's movies since I saw garden of works it doesn't stop surprise me how in each movie it greatly improves the quality of animation and film script, i hope that the movie that opens at the end of this year is spectacular

every single frame of this movie can be hanged on a wall. not a single frame was wasted. everything is thought out! ive watched this over a dozen times now and i still the giggles while viewing it. Especially as a Graphic designer myself, i tend to be sensitive on the designs and aesthetics of things, and this movie hits every spot just right!

This movie always gives me feelings and vibe I can't describe.. and after the ending, It wasn't sad, nor happy. It was something I've never felt. Even if the story itself isn't very unique, but It certainly is a masterpiece. I would definitely recommend you to see all of other movies this director made they are really mind blowing...

I suffer with depression/anxiety and watching this video really helped me bring my mood up, made me wanna go out the house more too. I have the deluxe version of the album saved on my Spotify. I like Weathering With You as a movie a little bit more, but I think Your Name wins out on music and visuals. Very gorgeous. Makes me think of the first time I saw 5 Centimeters Per Second, the scene where the rocket takes off at daybreak. That was so beautiful and made me regret not having seen such beautiful thinga before. Though watching a lightning storm on the top floor of a building with an online friend I finally met in person after 7 years (now it's been well over a decade) would probably be one of my favorite visual moments in my life :)
