@Welcome to the Mars Germany never won on the 90' or 120' an official game, only once on penalties . England won once ,in the 70's.

@Welcome to the Mars That Italy was the worst team ever on our prestigious football history,not at the same highness of the previous teams at all . We were actually ok with going out on penalties at the quarters,was thanks to Conte ,giving a very physical approach to the games so we seen some results, but couldn't last long as that team had severe limits,it was like being an average-good national team,which it wasn't enough. So I do agree with you ,Germany deserved to pass,we didn't have much expectations,Germany was going to its low phase ,we were already there ,as the generation 2010-2018 didn't produce many good players for Italy,it is natural, generations and up and down is how national teams work. Even now we still on the process to renovate and seems like there's going to be abundance of talents as usual finally . Players like Pellé or Zaza wouldn't be remotely considered under normal conditions in Italy . Obviously for Germany has been a great result, as they find Italy very hard to beat ,even on our low -desperate phase with Serie B players on field . Clearly the statistics staying largely on favour of the Azzurri side tho,that's good enough.

@Welcome to the Mars Italy 90,94,98,00,02 were extremely strong teams ,on paper stronger than 2006 and definitely Euro 2020(2021) but we did not win anything ,luck ,penalties and corrupted referees didn't help much . I have no clue about the 50's,all I know is due an airplanes crash, Italy lost many of the National team players (at that time playing for Turin FC ,considered one of the strongest team World wise ,in 1949 if I am not wrong)and took about 15-20 years before being competitive again (Euro 68-Mexico 70). About Germany, I considered it as Italy,Brazil and few other country,it will go back at some point,you can have not very performing footballers generation, but the football school and tradition, the experience and the correction of previous mistakes help to come back and win again, things England or Netherlands can't learn easily .
