I think what Infographics said is that almost all US "Fighter" aircraft uses the Vulcan. The A-10 is most definitely not a fighter jet, but instead a close-air support and ground attack jet.

The Vulcan is a cannon, not a minigun. The “Minigun” designation is for intermediate caliber rounds, primarily the 7.62x.51 M134 and other similar/smaller variations on the rotary gun.

The GAU-8 does fire a more powerful round, but it is heavier and have a lower rate of fire compared to the Vulcan. The Avenger is good for ground attacks in aircraft like the A-10, and as a Close-In-Weapons-System (CWIS) like the Goalkeeper, but not so much in air-to-air dogfights. The M61 Vulcan is mainly used in almost all US fighter aircraft (aside from the F-35 and AV-8B, which uses a 25mm Gatling type cannon, in which the F-35's gun has 4 barrels and the AV-8B's gun has 5 barrels).

No. The gun mockup in "Predator" is based on the 7.62X51 mm mini gun, much smaller than the Vulcan, which is mounted mostly on aircraft and is chambered in 20 mm, which in itself is smaller than the GAU-8 used in the A-10 Warthog, chambered in 30 mm. This is not the same weapon, a man cannot carry and fire a Vulcan.
