☆ Q: where do i buy foam/fur/mesh/etc ?
☆ A: i buy foam, fur, felt, and clay from joanns craft store - but all of these can be found on amazon too ! the "mesh" was originally bought on amazon as "window screen protector"
~ Q: how do you shape the muzzle ?
~ A: start off with a basic shape, it is best to use a reference of your animal to figure out how the mouth sits !! then, cut that shape out of 3 inch foam and attach it with hot glue to the mask. start shaving down rough edges and fixing any imperfections it might have when glued to the mask. continue this process until the desired shape is acquired !!
¤ Q: why does my paint come out so chunky ?
¤ A: in this video, i mixed cheap acrylic paint with water to help blend and smooth out any ruff areas ! make sure to layer on colors
》Q: how big/thick is the felt used ?
》A: this is a normal 9 inches by 12 inches (9in x 12in) but you might want to use a bigger sheet for masks with lots of accessories (large muzzles/ears). it is about 3mm thick
• Q: how longs does making a mask take ?
• A: working non-stop, about 7 hours 😅
