Es una frase que utiliza alguna gente de las zonas catalanoparlantes de España, a raíz de un calco del idioma catalán ya que en catalán los verbos que equivalen a encender y apagar la luz en castellano son los mismos que para abrir y cerrar así que la frase "dormir con la luz abierta" Es un error por hacer traducción directa del catalán al castellano, cosa que es bastante habitual en territorios bilingües cuyas lenguas se parecen bastante, igual que en Escocia hay algunos nativos que mezclan frases y palabras de galaico escocés al hablar en inglés
