One of the nice things about watching LTT over the years has been seeing new people arrive, start out as nervous assistants to Linus in his videos and then steadily develop into relaxed, entertaining presenters and likeable characters who have their own recognisable style and interests and can carry a video on their own. Anthony and Alex are two obvious examples - just really fun to watch both of them do their stuff these days - but Adam's been improving in leaps and bounds lately, and I think this is the best work I've seen him do.

I helped my friend upgrade his 3070 to a 4090 last weekend. Unfortunately we had to replace his great old Antec case because the riveted-in front HDD cage didn't have clearance for the GPU. We ran down to Microcenter and he decided on a Fractal Torrent. After building in that thing, I'm upgrading my case to a Fractal ASAP. The care and thought that goes into the design and build of their cases is outstanding and worth every penny. I remember seeing all the fans and telling my friend he might need a fan controller because of limited connectors, only to discover an included fan hub. Same with RGB only to discover they were daisy-chainable.

PIO makes so much sense, wish they would release an adapter plate to fit any case with an open expansion slot area, then the GPU backplate would be in the old motherboard IO area. Makes way more sense and saves so much more room than "connectors in the back". Also you could use a PIO motherboard with 2-4 slots in the usual area and they would be completely out of the way of the graphics card.

I don't understand the excitement for this case. You can get SFF cases that allow for 3-slot GPUs and 240/280mm AIOs. This case only allows 1 of those at a time. Why make compromises on CPU cooling when you don't have to with other cases?
@mcslender2965
@mcslender2965 Рік тому
Well it is really small given that you can fit 3 slots GPUs in it. Im familiar with SFF PCs, had one in a Corsair Bulldog case and the first time seeing this case I thought this is for HTPC only with no GPU support.
@kaichow1015
@kaichow1015 Рік тому
13:15 It's a great looking case but that's not the comparison I'd make. For a cheaper, more robust, and also similar "vertical-skinny tower style" SFF case, the Meshlicious is cheaper and more versatile.

huge upgrade over the node 202, but also a significant price hike. i think i paid like $80 for my node 202. i don't think we can blame inflation alone for the 60%+ price hike.

You should check out Asus PN53 to what Minisforum has to offer in 2.5L volume, these are the size of the routers but… I would drop by *Optimum Tech* first before settling the above is the smallest SFF has to offer outside of the boomer LTT stagnant chamber.

Same case 1.5x larger, maybe 2 inch taller. The absolute dream. I don’t really care about having THE smallest case. I just want something small but not giving up on perf and cooling. I really can’t understand why there are no middle ground case instead of just pushing for the lower volume possible limiting cpu cooler and gpu room too much.
