He's one I'll be telling my grandkids about. A perfect mixture of power and panache. I got to watch him from the time he joined arsenal til he left for barca. Watching him blossom in that first season was great. Every season he got better till the crescendo of the invincibles. 2005 and 2006 were fantastic encores.

Watching him now dribbling the ball it still give me goosebumps... i remember those days..such amazing feeling to watched his performance.. a true legend.

In the space of a few months...this man got Arsenal to their only ever CL final and got France to the WC final...and as if anymore proof was needed that awards are a load of bollocks...Cannavaro was voted player of the year. I feel that Thierry doesn't always get the credit he deserves...maybe because he played for Arsenal and thus didn't win as much as he could've...but the man was utter perfection for several years.

I think it is an amazing tribute to Bergkamp. I grew up watching Bergkamp, Ian Wright and young Thierry. Bergkamp was without a doubt the best CAM/Playmaker in the world and what he did was like watching magic.
