It's the scariest thing to see your brother choking like that and knowing that you are their only hope for survival. I had to give mine the Heimlich once and I had no training on the maneuver but I had an idea about how it worked. It took about 5 or 6 thrusts and each time I leaned around to ask him and see if it was working. He was frantically nodding so I kept doing exactly as the one before but maybe a little harder. It finally flew out of him and into the kitchen sink where he had been standing in front of. It was so scary and then so awesome and such a relief when it came out. I asked him if I had helped or if he would've been okay without me intervening and he said that he couldn't breathe at all and that if I had not helped him he wouldn't have survived.
