There is more to this story: it was a veteran who spotted the shooter and raced after him. As the shooter ran, the veteran began to call out to the people ahead of him to stop the guy. That is when the men in this video saw who the veteran was after and tackled him.

With hundreds of thousands of people and 800 officers, the objective would be tend to the victims and get that situation under control.

Anyone else notice the police officer running behind the wall cautiously? These events need law enforcement that are in shape and younger. The state police officer can't jump over the 4ft wall as the barrier is doing it's job. It's great when civilians can assist because who knows where he was running too

Another thing to know is an ex-felon seen the gun on the ground after the altercation and grabbed it and tried to bring it up to a police officer and turned it into them to keep it away from the crowd and any additional shooter. He was arrested and charged as a felon in possession of a firearm for trying to keep additional shooting didnt happen. No good deed goes unpunished

It’s interesting to think how back before the 90’s this sort of thing hardly ever happened. My dad just turned 69 and told me stories about how he would take his rifle to school when he was in sixth grade because afterwards him and his friend we’re going to go hunting. They lived in Colorado and he would just hand the gun over to the teacher, who held it behind the desk till after school.

That wasn’t the shooter. He was later released without charges. The two adults that were charged were later arrested and the two juveniles are in custody due to firearms violations.

This is the first time ive seen this, I'm heartbroken, I am a single mom, occasionally work at Allegiant Stadium, thankfully have caught Chiefs games(my favorite) I lived in KC for 5 yrs from CA.- BEST people EVER, my Superbowl shift was cancelled last minute,but cheering them and the city on,broke my heart this occurred. It hurts to see this happen in my home city. The one confirmed death was a friend of my cousin's mother. My heart goes out to their family and anyone else affected by this. It was worrying to know many of my friends and also my cousins were there that day.
