I've been working in technology for close to 40 years and learned to type on a manual typewriter over 40 years ago! You know, the kind that used ZERO electricity and you had to physically mash the keys to get the arm to swing up and strike the paper? As a result, I still to this day hit keys really hard. More than once in the past ten years I have had younger employees comment on how LOUD I type... I try and explain it to them, and sometimes it just goes right over their head.

@@aytviewer2421 this is basically how most people respond to things they aren't used to; the minority being people who treat others in a decent manner. i explained among other things to my mom that even investing in VOO gets a greater return than bonds with almost no risk of a long downturn in the world we live in today. a low ranking investing consultant in a bank who can't even answer my questions with confidence only had to say "low volatility" and "cash flow" to sucker my mom into buying units of some garbage fund that consists of 70% bonds. after every cash payout, the NAV per unit goes down as expected as the fund is simply paying out from capital if the returns on the underlying assets is insufficient. effective annualized return is 2.36% so far but my mom just sees the payout being around 4% and says that clown knows what he's doing. i agree, he knows how to get his commission at the detriment of people's life savings. PS, i don't even buy VOO. my portfolio has had 3-8 positions with annualised return of 24.66% over the last 6 years.
