Bro they're different fullbacks, tbh I never knew his actual responsibilities because up until August 2022, a fullback for me was on the touchline bombing up and down whipping crosses in at any given opportunity, when we outclassed Chelsea in the US tour I learnt what this guy actually does; never rated him as an out and out traditional fullback, he's an inverted monster it makes so much sense now and I'm sure 99% of gooners assumed the same

exactly why I understand Arteta starting him over Tierney, His Technical ability helps us a lot in Transition

And the technical astuteness helps him in midfield play. So he can function as an inverted leftback and offer midfield overload during offensive transitions. Something Tierney doesn't have. Tierney is solid though, defensively.

Most important players in this team are Partey and Zinchenko. Their composure and calmness help the team control tempo and possession.

I think its because they both trust each other to receive the ball under pressure and not lose it,they realy dont think twice to pass even though either of them asks for the ball under pressure,thats why partey and zinny realy avoids direct passes to xhaka in our defensive third
