The fact that literally a day after this comes out we get even more (terrifying) Grumbot Prime lore about how "Grian Prime" was trying to apologise to Grumbot about something and the implications that came with it.

Grumbot has also now told Impulse to "Destroy", "King", "Claim"... not to mention Grian is still going with his "bad citizen" stuff and after the rule "no quests" went up he made an "adventure", for reasons unknown since his ep. 19 is not out yet. The Crown is also mostly out of diamonds right now, if that means anything.

You have to watch Impulse’s video as well, the final 5 minutes change everything and proves pretty much what you are saying!

In Grian's latest video. He made a specific answer for Grumbot to ask. Then Grumbot got mad and Grian tried to apologize, but then the answer he got was "My Grian was sorry." Which seemed to horrify Grian. My theory is that Grumbot had found out somehow that his world is fake and decided to get revenge. Then later on got brought into season 9 now.

Grumbot's different build could just mean that Grumbot stuck around in season 8 (+ the beginning of season 9), and alternate timeline Grian kept upgrading him each season.

The thing that suck out most to me about Grumbot Prime was his immediate assertion that he "is not Grian's Grumbot. " That and his statement "I am from a season 7 where mumbo became mayor" implies that Grumbot Prime is both: Aware that the multiverse exists, and knows that the difference between his and Grian's universes is Mumbo becoming the mayor. Just something I thought of.

My theory in regards to the new blocks (copper, sculk etc.) that didn’t exist in s7 is this: If Mumbo had become Mayor, he could have done good things instead of fighting a mycelium war, and would have made the update come sooner by advancing the timeline somehow.

Impulse posted a video where he used Grumbots content generator to throw a party in Ren's Vault, upsetting Ren and then asked Grumbot again for what he should do, and got told to overthrow the King. So you may be right about Grumbot being against the people Bdubs support. (Also there were 5 dragon bros, which included Bdubs and False)

I have some things to back up the potential of the rift transforming Grumbot. When Grumbot is inside the rift his shape is MUCH more like the Grumbot we know in s7 compared to Grumbot prime’s shape. Also, even through the glass/fog of the rift you can still clearly see that he’s made of light grey concrete, not copper. I think grumbot still looked more normal at first inside the rift because the rift hadn’t transported to one specific dimension yet. He hadn’t gotten to s8 yet so he hadn’t “adapted” yet.

3:10 The one thing I find off about this idea, is that Grumbot knew to specify he was from a season 7 where Mumbo became mayor, meaning he was aware of the difference between dimensions. Which means he'd have to be aware of what happened to our grumbot in our previous season 7 right? If he's aware our season 7 didn't result in Mumbo becoming mayor, how far does his knowledge of our season go? Even more curious, how was he aware of it in the first place? How does he have knowledge of this season despite never existing in it?

the story is currently unfolding right now as well. We all now know that the King is broke because of creating the quests and forgetting to make the Hermits pay taxes to keep the economy up, also because he gave himself too much bling. Now he started claiming shops in the name of the tiny crown possibly to get some diamonds from them. he seems to be slowly losing his mind (add to the fact that G's being a bad citizen). Before I thought it was more like G and Grumbot are planning to rebel with Impulse's help but now it feels like Grumbot is predicting what will happen in the future and started laying the cards to move the plan, only later to either take the throne for himself to give it to Mumbo when he returns. . . . At the end of the day, I still would love to see another clueless Mumbo coming back only to be crowned king and then no one will question him for being the richest Hermit in the server...

"I'm not your Grumbot" could also mean that he is the Grumbot we know but Grian is different

Actually, in Impulse's video Grumbot proves once again to have a mind of it's own when he changes the paper "Generate content" to "Father 1 wants you to click the generate content button". This implies that it is GRIAN who wrote that (Father 1) and the hermit will not be generating content, he will just click the button that dispenses what GRIAN wrote.

Grian's videos have really improved in quality / lore lately, but his videos are nothing compared to your awesome editing LOL! Keep up the great content.

I think in grumbot prime's universe, scar was still elected but grumbot (clearly being more advanced) launched a coup against scar and declared mumbo mayor, I also think that grian and mumbo became more and more dependent on grumbot to the point were grumbot became de facto mayor. But eventually, grian (who loves revolutions) decided that he needed to destroy the dictatorship he created. But just like the mycelium war, he lost and was "confronted" by grumbot prime. (Hence the line "my grian was sorry too")

The new Grumbot said something to the effect of "My Grian thought so too" (Sorry I didn't get the quote exact), where the use of past tense makes it seem like alternate universe Grian may be dead and perhaps by Grumbot!

Everyone seems to be on the idea that this new Grumbot was sheltered like ours was in season 7 but there could also be a likelihood that this Grumbot was abandoned after Mumbo actually became Mayor. Mumbo would be too busy with mayoral duties and Grian would be forced to help since he dragged Mumbo into becoming mayor, leaving Grumbot abandoned since he served his purpose🤔

Another thing that solidifies that grumble knew that he was being hoodwinked was that after grian apologised for speaking for him, he says,'My grian was sorry too." However, I'm not the only one who finds this sinister. My theory, is that in his timeline, he found out that mumbo didnt win the mayoral campaign, and in his rage, decided to overtake the whole server. 'My Grian was sorry too' indicates that grian tried to reason with and apologise to him, but to no avail. And I think he plans to overthrow the king, and do the same to hc 9. By influencing whoever picks up grains priority adventure to get rid of the kings claim, it's going to influence people to overthrow the king. And grumbot knows this. And he wants it to happen. But hey, that's just a theory, A HERMIT THEORY

I have a theory that grumbot is using impulse to overthrow the throne. He gave impulse the challenge to “vault - party - xisuma” which ended up upsetting the king when impulse gave away the diamonds, then he gave impulse the challenge to “remove - king - claim” which was interpreted as “remove the king’s claim to the throne.” I think that grumbot knows that He can’t convince grian to start a resistance, so he’s trying to use impulse for it.

Of note, Grumbot's first bit of generated content to someone other than Grian was "Xisuma, Multiply, Vault". And the only vaults on the server are the one that Mumbo is building, meaning it doesn't quite count, and the completed one that Rendog has. And Impulse threw two birds with one stone by completing a Royal Event by means of making it a Xisuma Costume Party in Rendog's Vault, using the king's diamonds as party favors. What if Grumbot isn't so random after all?

something interesting about Grians new video: in the part where he puts something in the dispenser for Grumbot to say, he writes "GENERATE CONTENT" but in impulses video when he goes to grumbot, grumbot spits out "FATHER 1 WANTS YOU TO GENERATE CONTENT" implying grumbot prime knew what was happening and was only playing along, or something else

I 100% agree with the whole Grumbot trying to take down Ren thing after all in ImpulSV latest video he used the content generator and I basically told him to take down Ren and replace him as king.

I think Grumbot is going to pull some version of Mumbo into this season of HC, and it may happen in Grian's ep 24. Either that, or, An alternate Reality GRIAN... In ep 22, Grumbot says he wants to make Mumbo mayor. But Mumbo is on leave. Grumbot says "I'll find a way" In ep 22 @19:40 a mysterious person is seen flying out of Grian's base. In ep 23, a mysterious button appears infront of the rift, with a sign that says "Begin?" The button was on a Lodestone. A lodestone makes a compass point towards it. This works in any dimension. I think that when Grian presses that button, it essentially creates a beacon for something or someone to find its way through the rift.

The Rift could be connected to Docm77's diamond portal from s6??? or Grumbot could be from a timeline where Bdubs was running for Mayor without helping Scar???? The Great Mycelium War never occurred in the alternation dimension of Grumbot???

Iskall85 has been absent, if Grumbot goes hostile that would be a good way to rebuild his hype as a Vision type hero to combat the foe. The Rift pulling him in and out of reality because Iskallman is the only thing Grumbot fears.

This probably isn't very important, and I don't know if anyone else has noticed this before me, but in Grian's video thumbnails, three videos aren't like the rest. Episodes 9, 11, and 15 of Hermitcraft Season 9 all have Grian's Minecraft skin's face on it, where his hair is flipped. Keep in mind that Episode 9 had the Audible sponsorship, Episode 11 was when The Entity moved and became alive, and 15 was when Grian announced that Ren had become king of the server. Maybe this is some way Grian tells us that there's going to be lore in the specific video and we should pay attention to it? I don't know, interpret this however you'd like, I just thought it was pretty interesting.

Now, Grumbot was pulled through the Rift, and upon finding out that there was Multiverse, decided to make Grian pay. Make EVERY Grian pay...

i think a better, but lets agree, not creative, storyline is that, the server starts getting weirder and weirder, the universes start crashing and burning and fusing, the area around the rift becomes broken and fragmented, maybe bits from the old seasons, slightly different since well, probably from another universe, and the season end with something like "the rift closes and the world blows up blablabla"

Grian is using a loophole to start a revolution he is not apart of... kinda... in the last episode he inputs custom paper by saying " Remove, King Claim " in the context to remove the 'Rentheking' claims from the shops, but once ImpulseSV takes on his loophole quest under the context of adventure which tells him to " Talk to Grumbot " once ImpulseSV clicks the button he receives the text " Remove,King,Claim" and interpretes it as Remove the King claim to the Throne.

I have a bit of a theory, which I don't believe but think should be explored more, that the Grumbot we have now isn't an alternate reality version of Grumbot, but is actually just the Grumbot from season 7 brought to season 9. Think about it like this: Grumbot from season 7 was put in a simulation to get him to think that Mumbo became mayor. Now, Grumbot travels through a rift to season 9. Because in season 7 Grumbot was put in a simulation to get him to think Mumbo became mayor, this when Grumbot says "I am from a universe where Mumbo became mayor" He could just be thinking he came from a different universe when in actuality he was from the same universe but thought he must be in a different one because he found out that Mumbo never became mayor.

I really like your theory, however have you considered that Grumbot Prime is from an alternative universe where Mumbo actually won the election and Grumbot Prime, having completed his life’s purpose, was made Mayor Mumbo’s right hand man/bot which is why he has all of the added stuff around him.

Haven’t watched your other videos but I would like to point out that in REN’s videos he has a giant spaceship that has parts of the previous seasons in it also hinting that all seasons are connected somehow. This season he has his companion Rosie that was rushing him to do something before it was too late. Maybe Grumbot was the thing that Rosie was trying to prevent?

Did anyone notice that grumbot prime has not got grians hair like the original, and possibly with how grumbot said ‘his grian was sorry too’ grumbot may have removed the grian from himself
